Arsenal told to sign Lukaku – Lisandro would like Gunners move – Rabiot wants Premier League move in Arsenal news of the day…

Arsenal have been urged to sign Chelsea star Romelu Lukaku instead of Gabriel Jesus this summer window

It is no secret that Mikel Arteta is desperate to add another striker to that attack of his this summer – and all indications suggest that Gabriel Jesus is the player that he wants most

Arteta worked with Jesus at Man City for a number of seasons and knows his very well – and with the fact that Erling Haaland has been brought to the Premier League Champions – Jesus is keen to depart the club

It does seem that he is on his way to Arsenal – the club are in deep talks with him and Man City – although the asking price has become a bit of a problem for the Gunners board – it has been claimed

But despite all the speculation that Jesus is on his way to the Emirates – Darren Bent has opened up and told the Gunners that they should sign Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea instead

Lukaku was re-signed by Chelsea last summer in a deal worth £97M – but despite all the hype he only managed 15-goals for the Blues last season

He is set to depart the club on-loan and head back to Italian football – with all indications suggesting that he will be an Inter Milan player over the next few weeks..

Bent told talkSPORT: “Lukaku, I would.

“I’ve seen him score goals regularly. He’s in the 100 club!”

There is no doubt that Jesus is a very good player – and will improve that Arsenal attack – but he is not your traditional number nine that Mikel Arteta needs – even Pep Guardiola could not trust him

Lukaku would be the idea player that Arsenal should sign – but he is going back to Italian football so that wont happen

Lisandro claim made –

Ajax star Lisandro Martinez would be interested in joining Arsenal this summer – fans have been told

Mikel Arteta is a man that has big plans for this current Arsenal side and has started to do some transfer business this summer – although the players that he has signed already are more for the future.

Arsenal’s late season issues came to the fore when Kieran Tierney was ruled out for the remainder of the campaign, with Mikel Arteta often having to resort to using unnatural players in the position

And Martinez is a player that has the ability to cover that left-back spot – but can also play in the centre and move into midfield when he is needed.

He is a current Argentina international and helped his country win the inaugural Finalissima against Italy at Wembley this month – and he was an understudy to Cristian Romero and Nicolas Otamendi last year as Argentina won the Copa America.

Initial talks have already taken place with the Gunners willing to offer around £25m for the Argentina international – but they will need to up that figure if they are to complete a deal as Ajax are looking for big money

Now – amid all the speculation – David Ornstein has come out and suggested that Lisandro would be interested in making a move to the Emirates – in the Athletic, who wrote: “Arsenal would like Martinez to join the defensive block — Ajax’s left-sided centre-back would add more depth in the position Gabriel made his own last season.

“Sources indicate Arsenal have had an offer — in the region of €30 million — rejected already. The 24-year-old, who is said to be keen on joining Arteta’s side, would also provide cover at left-back for Kieran Tierney, similar to how Takehiro Tomiyasu is also able to play both positions on the right side of defence.”

the Gunners seem to be trying to get their transfer business done – so if they really want Lisandro – they will submit the right offer

Rabiot wants move –

Adrien Rabiot reportedly wants to move to a Premier League club amid speculation that Arsenal are interested

Liverpool and Man City finished so far ahead of the Gunners last season and Erik Ten Hag knows that if he has any chance of winning that Premier League title – he needs to improve that squad

And with a number of midfielders already leaving the club – Mikel ARteta knows that he needs to try and sign a number of international players that will make an immediate impact on the Arsenal squad squad

The door is now firmly open for the likes of Arsenal to swoop in, offer Juventus a decent amount of money and bring him to the Premier League as Rabiot has told the club he wants out

The Frenchman knows that he will struggle for game time again next season at Juventus and with it being a world Cup year – he wants more guaranteed football before the French team is officially announced

Despite being one of the most gifted central midfielders in the game – Rabiot has never really adapted to Italian football like many had hoped – and Juventus are also keen to make sure that they get his massive £7M a season wages off the books

And according to The Telegraph, he could be available for £15million.
