Lampard to ‘finally bring’ Isco to Chelsea after Madrid make summer transfer decision
Fresh reports have again claimed long-term Chelsea target Isco could be heading to the Premier league this summer.
Since the news broke in the media just a few weeks ago that Willian will not be signing a new contract and will be departing the club at the end of the season, speculation in the media about his possible replacement has been hitting the headlines on a daily basis.
Frank Lampard knows that he may not get alot of transfer money to spend in the summer window, and he also knows that he may have to pick up a few transfer bargains in order to replace the departing players that could be leaving.
And one player that has been on the shopping list of Chelsea for some time now is that of Isco, who has been tipped to leave the Bernabeu for what seems like ages, though has been helped by the return of Zinedine Zidane.
Manchester City and Chelsea have both been linked with moves for the Spaniard, who has scored just once in 16 La Liga appearances this season and they will be boosted by the latest reports coming from Spain.
Spanish outlet Marca suggest Real Madrid’s priority will be to offload some players in order to make new signings, with the likes of Erling Haaland a key target.
Madrid have also been hit by the coronavirus outbreak and have a number of ‘fringe players’ that could be sold in order for Zidane to land some of his top transfer targets, who will cost some serious money in the coming transfer windows.
Isco is a top-class player that has tons of ability and signing him would be a real statement of intent from Lampard, and considering Willian is leaving, who else would be better that Isco to come in and help replace the Brazilian.
He would, and could be, a real statement signing for Lampard if he was able to complete this transfer deal.
So it will be interesting to see if Isco is one of those players that get sold by Madrid, and if Chelsea do decide to make that move to try and complete a deal.
