New £53M Arsenal capture’a high-risk, high-reward’ signing – will suit Arteta’s side
ARSENAL have decided that Noni Maduake will be a Gunner this summer window after they agreed to sign the winger in a deal just over £50 million, and he could suit the style of Mikel Arteta reporter Iomie Stanley has claimed
It has been revealed in recent days that Maduake has agreed a five-year deal with Arsenal and that the Gunners are expected to pay around the £50 million mark to secure the signing of Noni Maduake.
And media reports confirmed on social media that Maduake has now completed his medical, all fees have been agreed and the winger is now Gunner, and reporter Stanley has claimed that he could be a very good risk signing from the Gunners.
He told icfootballnews: ‘Madueke led the Premier League in completed dribbles (≈2.82 per 90) and was in the 96th percentile for progressive runs—only elite wingers like Vini Jr. and Doku ranked
“He makes mistakes, but then … continues to take his man on” Comfortable on either flank, two-footed, and with lightning pace, Madueke offers dynamic depth and can cover for both Saka and Martinelli.
‘Despite strong underlying metrics, his 7 goals and 3 assists in 32 PL games reflect below‑expected returns—some analysts warn he “underperformed on xG”
‘He’s faced criticism at Chelsea for attitude lapses—benched for poor training habits and for clashing over penalties. ARSENAL’s exacting standards under Arteta mean any disciplinary or consistency issues could be costly.
‘With Saka, Martinelli, Trossard, and rising talent Ethan Nwaneri already in the pecking order, Madueke may struggle for starts. Many see him primarily as rotation cover
‘At £50–52 million, Madueke is a high-risk, high-reward bet: his dribbling, pace, and creativity suit Arteta’s pressing, attacking style, and provide cover in key positions.
‘But he needs to sharpen his finishing, sustain consistency, and adapt mentally to thrive.’
