Man United board sent transfer message about signing 23-goal hitman for £76 million
Paul Parker says Man United should “be careful” in any pursuit of Tammy Abraham, amid all the reports that they are looking to bring him back to the Premier League at the end of the season
Chelsea made the big decision in the summer to offload their academy graduate to Jose Mourinho in favour of using the £34million plus more to re-sign Lukaku, who established himself as the most dangerous striker in Italian football.
But Whilst Lukaku himself is still working to try and adapt to Thomas Tuchel’s system in west London, Chelsea’s former number 9 has been thriving on the continent under a manager that wants him to become a ‘monster’ in front of goal
He has scored 23 goals and provided four assists in 40 appearances for Jose Mourinho’s side, and is now easily one of the most deadly strikers in Italian football.
And according to Corriere della Sera, Man Utd are willing to shell out £76m to attract the former Blues man, despite the fact that they do not have a new manager in place just yet
But ex-United and England defender Parker has opened up and sent a clear transfer message to Man United about signing Abraham, he told Canada Sports Betting: “Be careful, think about [Romelu] Lukaku.
“They brought him and he struggled to score goals for United.
“Tammy Abraham has also struggled to score goals for Chelsea. He could never be a regular, and there are reasons why, I imagine.”

Chelsea must be thinking that they mad a massive mistake letting Abraham leave the club and not really giving him the chance to shine, but at the end of the day, it has worked out for the lad
It has given him time to get away from the Premier League, hone his skills in the Italian game and now he is surely ready to come back to England and lead an attack like the Red Devils
£76 million is alot of money for the player, but he is young – hungry- and a goal-scorer – something that the new manager will need to be a success at the club
Parker says that Abraham struggled for goals at Chelsea, but for two seasons before Lukaku arrived he was the clubs top scorer
