Sorry Arsenal as agent has informed club that Manchester United ‘have made an official approach’ to Arteta’s top target
Eduardo Camavinga’s agent has informed Rennes that Manchester United have made an official approach to sign the highly rated teenage midfielder
Camavinga is one of Europe’s most talented young defensive midfielders and has already been capped by France – though he was not included in their Euro 2020 squad, and his performances over the past few seasons has led to reports that Arsenal are keen.
Mikel Arteta is looking to add another midfielder or two to his squad this transfer window, and the recent reports have claimed that the Spanish boss has made the Frenchman his number one transfer target.
United have already expressed an interest in signing the French sensation, and now RMC Sport report that talks have solidified with the club reaching out to Camavinga’s agent, Jonathan Barnett.
Barnett is one of football’s most prominent agents, with his biggest client being Gareth Bale, and his employment by Camavinga was expected to facilitate a move to long-time suitors Real Madrid.
But United appear to have stolen a march on their rivals in the race to sign the talented teen, with Barnett officially informing Rennes that talks over a potential move to Old Trafford and personal terms have begun, with the agent to meet again with United this week.
Look, if the reports are true and United have started talks with the agent of the gifted young man, then Arsenal fans will be very disappointed as he could have been a wonderful signing for the club.
But United fans will be very happy, as this lad has some serious talent and is definitely a player that could become a world beater
