“Next season… let’s go!” Aubameyang sends Arsenal fans big message with Manchester United lining sensational £70m move
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has hailed his season at Arsenal last term and is looking forward to the future.
Moving to the Premier League as the last big signing by legendary boss Arsene Wenger, Aubameyang has become one of the most important players at Arsenal over the past 12 months, having netted an impressive 31-goals last season and lifting the Golden boot.
However, there has been some talk in the media which has claimed that he has been tempted by a big money move away this summer, with reports that United are keen to add him to the squad over the next few months.
It is believed the Red Devils are ready to splash close to £70 million to try and tempt Arsenal into selling their star striker, a fee which would boost the transfer kitty for boss Unai Emery.
However, Aubameyang has dropped a massive hint that he is staying at the Emirates and is already looking forward to next season.
He said: “It’s been very easy to settle here. The fans have been welcoming and of course the team have been really good to me.
“Of course the season didn’t end the way we wanted it to. Losing a final like that is tough for everyone, the players, our families and the fans. We were all gutted in the dressing room after what happened in Baku and that’s when you need the people around you.
“As always, my father had travelled to Baku with the rest of my family to watch me play.
“I’ve listened to my father’s advice throughout my whole career so if he tells me that I can get even better, then that’s exactly what I’m going to do.
“Next season… let’s go!”
Aubameyang may be tempted by the big money in China, most players would, but moving to United when they are no better off than Arsenal right now, would not make much sense.
He is settled and happy at Arsenal and it would surely take something sensational for the Gunners to sell their prized asset to United this summer?
