Man United and Liverpool have offers ready as Wilshere sends Arsenal Ramsey message!

West Ham midfielder Jack Wilshere has told Unai Emery to keep Aaron Ramsey at Arsenal, despite reported interest from the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool.

Ramsey’s contract expires at the end of the season and the 27-year-old revealed last week that Arsenal had withdrawn their offer of a new deal, which now means that the likes of United and Liverpool can nail down his services for nothing at the end of the season.

It has led to criticism from former players and pundits over the weeks who believe Ramsey should stay at Arsenal, especially since he is one of the biggest players at the Emirates and Wilshere has joined that list by telling Emery that Ramsey is a future Captain of the club, and needs to stay.

He told the Islington Gazette: ‘He’s grown up to be a great player with Arsenal. They could do with someone like him. We know what he can do for the club. For me he’s a future Arsenal captain. I know he loves the club.

‘It’s difficult for me to comment on because I’m not there but I do know he’s a great player – if it was me I know I would want to keep him around. He’s a great guy to have around. He’s been at the club so long and knows it inside out. If you look at what he’s done for the club too.

‘We went into the first team in the same year. He came from Cardiff and I came from the youth team. We automatically clicked because we were both young and new to that sort of environment.’

Should Arsenal reconsider and keep Ramsey at the club?

Liverpool and United are just waiting in the wings ready to complete a deal and all indications suggest Ramsey would be open to the idea of joining the Gunners rivals at the end of the season, but he is one of the clubs biggest players and it would actually cost them more to find a replacement as they would have to spend a huge amount and then offer a big wage.

Ramsey should stay and the Gunners just need to realise just how important the Welshman is to the club.
