Arsenal or Man United after Coach Galtier officially announces £57 million star Pepe ‘will leave’ this summer
Lille coach Christophe Galtier has confirmed Nicoals Pepe will leave the club this summer with Manchester United and Arsenal hoping to secure a transfer deal.
With the Premier League season coming to a close and the trio’s attention focusing on next season, there has been a lot of transfer speculation in the media over the past few months on whom they will look to try and acquire in the coming transfer window.
And one name that has been mentioned about a possible move to the Premier League is that of Pepe, as the 23-year-old Pepe is among the most highly-rated forwards in Europe and his transfer value is estimated at more than 50 million euros (£57 million).
Pepe has scored 20 goals in all competitions this season and has been tipped to become one of the most deadly strikers in the game, with Arsenal boss Unai Emery and Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sending scouts to watch the young man on numerous occasions, with some reports even suggesting that United have held talks about a possible transfer deal.
Now Galtier has confirmed that the young striker will indeed leave the club this summer.
He told Canal+: “Nicolas Pepe will leave. Life’s like that, football’s like that today.
“He is a player of the highest level who will have a big decision to make on the choice of his next club.
“There will be a battle between the great European teams.
“I hope that he will take good amount of time to think about it, do his research, like he did when he came here and when he decided to stay here [last summer], find the right project.”
Pepe is showing great potential and is just the sort of young striker that could develop into something special, if he makes the right career move and the fact the Premier League trio are all seeking a deal, means he will have options.
Pepe is destined for the big time and his £57 million price tag could be a big investment for any club that signs him, it will just be a case of whom offers the club and the player the most, as money talks in football right now.
