Sorry Arsenal as Manchester United make stunning £62 million offer for 31-goal hitman Aubameyang
Shock reports have claimed Manchester United have made a £62million bid for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang has become the most important member of the Arsenal attack since his move to the Emirates and netted an impressive 31 goals for the Gunners last season.
However, there has been some talk in the media which has claimed that he has been tempted by a big money move to China, with talk that they are prepared to pay around £500,000-a-week to nail down his services.
But there has also been some speculation in the media linking United with a big money move for the Gabon hitman, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to add a world class striker to his attack, especially with Romelu Lukaku ass set to depart the club.
Lukaku is very unhappy at Old Trafford and all indications suggest that he will be sold to Inter in the coming days to help finance a move for a new striker.
And FCInterNews say Solskjaer wants Aubameyang to replace Lukaku, and has already made an offer of around £62 million to tempt the Gunners into selling their star striker.
Arsenal are trying to resist United’s attempts to sign Aubameyang, the report continues, as he finished last season as joint-top goalscorer in the Premier League, but with Unai Emery keen to add funds to his squad, the right offer could get a deal done.
United may want Aubameyang, like many top clubs in Europe, but Arsenal are not looking to offload their star man and will not want to do any deal with a top four rival.
The striker has become too important to the clubs success and they will seek to nail him down to a new contract, to end all speculation linking him with a move to China, or United.
So it would be very shocking to see Auba make the move to Manchester this summer window, especially as Arsenal cannot afford to lose one of their best players if they want to get back inside the top four this coming season.
