Man United Tuesday! Bailey offer, Real Madrid to sell Bale, Benatia move, Sane transfer message

Here is a roundup of todays Manchester United news, gossip and transfer rumours.

Bayer Leverkusen star Leon Bailey has admitted Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United were all interested in a deal over the summer.

The 21-year-old is one of the most promising young forwards in Europe and was wanted by several top clubs in the summer after having another impressive campaign for the Germans.

The Premier League trip seemed to show the most interest in trying to nail down a deal for Bailey though, and reportedly all made offers during the summer transfer window to try and bring him to the Premier League in a deal that could have been close to the £100 million mark.

But Bailey, who is still making a name for himself in the game, explained it was not the right time to make such a big move and opted to sign a big contract in the summer to commit his long-term future with the club.

Manchester United, City, Chelsea, Liverpool – a lot of clubs were interested,’ Bailey told FourFourTwo.

‘But the most important thing as a pro is taking things a step at a time and not rushing to the top too quickly. Because once you get there, where do you go next?

‘I believe the right timing is important, and it was the right moment to be at Bayer Leverkusen. They are a tremendous club with so much history.

‘A lot of good players have come from there; they can get into the Champions League and are always doing well. So why not them? ‘It was the perfect move for me and I’m happy I made it. My focus isn’t really on moving anywhere yet.

‘I’m just about what’s happening right now rather than what could happen in the future. I’m still learning.’ (Read full article)

Spanish journalist and pundit Eduardo Inda has claimed Real Madrid are willing to let Chelsea and Manchester United target Gareth Bale leave in the coming transfer windows

Bale signed for Madrid way back in 2013 for a then record fee of £86 million after progressing into a real superstar at Tottenham, and since his move to La Liga the Welshman has developed into one of the games very best players.

But after the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, Bale has failed to step up and fill the Portuguese superstars place in the Madrid side, and now his team-mates are beginning to turn on him, that is according to Inda, who says he has been informed of the squad’s unhappiness with the forward.

Inda was speaking on Spanish TV show El Chiringuito, where he claimed Florentino Perez is aware of the squad disharmony supposedly centring around Bale.

And Inda goes on to suggest that Madrid will be willing to let Bale leave in the coming transfer windows, if chasing clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United are willing to meet the £100 million price tag they have placed on the wingers head.

Both Chelsea and United are desperate to add to their squads this coming January, as they both are keen to regain the Premier League title away from the dominant City, who are arguably the titles favourites this season. (Read full article)

Manchester City winger Leroy Sane has dismissed speculation he could join Manchester United, insisting he is on the “right side” of the city.

With the January transfer window just a few months away and closing fast, there has been some shock speculation in the media that Sane could look to leave the Etihad in the winter transfer window as he continues to fight for a starting spot.

The 22-year-old has started just seven of City’s 16 games in all competitions this season, leading to suggestions that Sane, who was one of the best players in the premier League last season, was becoming highly frustrated at his lack of game time at the club.

And with Jose Mourinho desperate to add a bit more quality and creativity to his attack during the next transfer window, the special one has reportedly been keeping a close eye on the Germans situation, and is ready to make a £100 million move.

However, after manager Pep Guardiola confirmed City were in talks with Sane regarding a new contract, the German has been quick to dismiss rumours of a cross-city switch.

“That won’t happen,” said Sane on the Sky Sports website.

“That won’t happen at all. I am really happy here and I’m on the right side.” (Read full article)

Manchester United target Medhi Benatia is unhappy with his game time in the first part of the season, amid speculation he could leave Juventus.

Benatia is rated very highly across Europe as one of the most solid central defenders in Europe, and has been on the radar of United for the last few seasons, but a deal could simply not be done.

The defender was very happy at the Seria A Champions and it seemed that Juventus were more than happy to keep hold, but that all seems to be changing this season as Benatia has seen his game time limited.

And amid more speculation United are ready to reignite their interest this coming January transfer window, Benatia has admitted he will consider his future if his game time doesn’t improve under Max Allegri.

He was quoted on the CalcioMercato website: “I struggle to play with no consistency. I was doing well last season because I was playing on a regular basis. Now it’s not the same. This is my job and I always need to work hard to be ready to play but it’s a situation I don’t like.”

“I am 31 and I want to play as much as I can. Let’s see what happens in January, how many games I will play. Let’s see if Juve and Allegri need me. I am here to give my best and that’s what I will do until I’m here. If the mister will need me in the Champions League I will be ready.”
