Solskjaer told £100m would be perfect Manchester United fit, but would Bale be good deal?
Jonathan Barnett has claimed Gareth Bale would ‘fit in’ at Manchester United, but would he be a good signing?
There has been a lot speculation that United could try and acquire the services of unhappy Bale, who has been linked with a move away from the Bernabeu all season, as the 29-year-old has struggled to hold down a starting place in the Real side since Zidane returned in March.
Bale has won four Champions Leagues, La Liga and the Copa del Rey during his six years at Real but is all set for an exit after Zidane admitted that he does not suit the team anymore.
The French boss has now decided that the man that won him his third Champions League crown just over 12 months ago, is no longer wanted at the club.
Zidane has just acquired Eden Hazard from Chelsea on a big five-year deal, with the Belgian expected to replace Bale at the club.
And with United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seeking to splash some cash and bring in a few world class players this summer it is widely expected that they make a move for Bale.
Now they have been told by the ex-Tottenham man’s agent Barnett that Bale would be a good fit for the club.
Asked about a potential move to United, Barnett said: “He could fit in there but it’s very unlikely.”
Barnett added: “Obviously, Gareth’s situation hasn’t improved. But a loan move is not going to happen — there’s more chance of me winning at Ascot.“I don’t think he wants to go out on loan. He’s got a lovely life in Spain.
“It would take something exceptional for him to leave and loans are not on the menu.
”Bale is a superstar and is not the only man to have problems at Madrid, but the Welshman is taking all the blame for the fact Madrid have faired so miserably in the League and Champions League this season.
Zidane is a man on a mission and is expected to let a number of players leave over the coming months In order to get this Madrid side challenging for trophies once again, and if there is a possibility that United can sign Bale, they should take it.
United serious need to invest in key areas of the pitch over the course of the transfer window in order to get back playing Champions League football and then pushing on to challenge for that Premier League title and the winger would give them that ‘superstar quality’ they are lacking on the wings, and would send a big statement to their top four rivals.
Signing Bale is a must if United want to get back into the habit of winning titles, so they should seriously get this
