Ferdinaind tells United why they should sign Sancho, Striker speaks out ahead of possible move, Man United agree deal to sign £61 million striker

Ferdinand on why United should sign Sancho, Cavani speaks out, Haaland message sent, United agree Dembele deal in news roundup..

Manchester United have reportedly agreed a £61.8m fee with Lyon for star striker Moussa Dembele.

As we have said before, the whole world is gripped by the Coronavirus outbreak that is stopping everything from running smoothly, killing thousands and stopping us from enjoying the game we love on a weekly basis.

But that has not stopped speculation in the media about possible incomings and out-goings in the summer transfer window, with a number of world class players linked with a move to the club and a number of fringe players linked with a move away.

Manchester United failed to sign a new striker when they allowed Romelu Lukaku to leave for Inter Milan last season, and are reportedly desperate to delve into that transfer kitty to try and acquire a top class forward in the summer.

There has been constant speculation suggesting that Chelsea are ready to pay that big money and try to bring Dembele to the Premier League, even though he could cost in excess of £80 million.

However, recent reports on The Daily Star claimed Ed Woodward is now poised to make his move knowing Lyon may have to sell as they miss out on European qualification, and the report goes on to suggest that Dembele would prefer a move to Manchester United.

Now, according to Todo Fichajes, United have stolen in to agree a deal to bring the talented young striker to Manchester when the summer transfer window opens up in just a few weeks time.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has sent scouts to watch Dembele at least three times in the last six months as he tries to convince him to make a switch to Old Trafford.

Robert Lewandowski has urged Manchester United and Real Madrid target Erling Haaland to stay at Borussia Dortmund.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made the strange decision last summer to let powerhouse hitman Romelu Lukaku leave the club towards the back-end of the transfer window, and then failing to acquire a forward that could lead the attack.

And then the United board failed to delve into their transfer kitty during the winter window and add the likes of Haaland to the side, instead they watched as the towering hitman made the mega money move to join up with Borussia Dortmund, where he has been banging in the goals.

However, Ed Woodward and co. are still desperate to snatch the Norwegian striker’s signature in the summer transfer window, and there has been some speculation that they will try and tempt him away from Dortmund in the summer, with the lure of Old Trafford very hard to still turn down these days.

Borussia Dortmund’s teenage sensation has had an astounding season, but Before making his £18million mid-season move to Dortmund, the Norwegian frontman bagged 28 goals in just 22 matches for former club RB Salzburg.

But Bayern Munich’s Poland striker Lewandowski believes the Norway goal-getter, 19, should first focus on improving his all-round game in the Bundesliga.

Lewandowski said on BILD: “He has huge potential, but still has time. I don’t want to put any pressure on him with my statements.

“‘If he works hard, he can become a better player and eventually reach the top level.

“Therefore, it might be good for him if he would stay in the Bundesliga longer before taking the next step.”

Rio Ferdinand has revealed why Manchester United should sign Jadon Sancho this summer window.

United may be concentrating on getting back in training and trying to get back inside the top four for Champions League football next season, but there has already been alot of speculation in the media about players that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will try and sign in the summer to improve his squad.

And one of the players that is reportedly on the shopping list of the boss is that of Sancho, who has become one of the most talked about players in the game and has been constantly linked with a move to the Premier League, with all the big guns linked with a swoop

Ferdinand has made no secret of his desire to see Sancho at United and he’s reittirated that plea today, claiming the winger’s ‘carefree spirit’ would light up Old Trafford.

Speaking to the Acro Academy on Instagram, Rio admitted he wanted to see Sancho at the club: ‘I hope they do [sign Sancho] man.

‘He’s got that imagination, that carefree spirit – almost like that playground footballer vibe that I love. And he’s bringing it all to the big stage.’

Look, there is alot of time between now and the summer transfer window to talk about possible signings for United, but if they have agreed personal terms with Sancho about a possible move, then great.

He will cost alot of money but that is because he is already one of the most creative players in the Bundesliga, and anything around the £100 million mark would be great, as his value will double that in just a few years time.

Manchester United target Edinson Cavani has addressed his future in an interview with Paris Saint-Germain’s official magazine, and he is leaving his options open.

As we have said before, the whole world is gripped by the Coronavirus outbreak that is stopping everything from running smoothly, killing thousands and stopping us from enjoying the game we love on a weekly basis.

But that has not stopped speculation in the media about possible incomings and out-goings in the summer transfer window, with a number of world class players linked with a move to Manchester United and a number of fringe players linked with a move away.

United failed to land a striker in both last summers transfer window and the winter window, meaning that failed to replace Romelu Lukaku when he departed the club for Inter Milan.

But there has been some talk in the media that Manchester United could reignite their interest in Edinson Cavani in the summer, and offer him a contract to make the move to Old Trafford.

Now, amid all the speculation, he has spoken out about his future on the PSG magazine: “My career will last for maybe several years still, here or elsewhere, I don’t know,” he said.

“I’ve spoken about it a lot with my entourage. I’ve always said that I would like to quit football rather than football quitting me. “I’d really like to finish having given everything. To get to that point where I’d say, ‘Guys, this is the point where I have to go.’

“I don’t want life to lead me to play when I wouldn’t be capable of giving my best. The day will come where it will be obvious that the time’s come to move on to something else.”

Cavani may not be the same striker that he was just a few seasons ago, but the man is still world class and if there is a chance to get him on the books, Manchester United should definitely take it.

He is a very good short-term solution to their long-term problems.
