Mourinho the talent killer! £100m Chelsea target Rashford told ‘he must leave’ Man United

Garth Crooks has claimed Jose Mourinho is ‘killing’ Chelsea target Marcus Rashford and the England forward ‘must’ leave Manchester United to save his career.
Rashford burst onto the scene at Old Trafford a few seasons ago and immediately became a real fans favourite at the club, and is also regarded as one of the best young talents in world football.
But over the last 12 months there has been a change in confidence for Rashford, as the youngster does not look like the exciting and skilful winger that got United fans off his feet, and under the guidance of Mourinho, his development is heading backwards, not forwards.
That has led to some speculation that Chelsea could make a surprise move for Rashford in the coming windows, as Maurizio Sarri needs to replace Eden Hazard when he departs the club and is a huge fan of the talented Englishman.
Now Crooks has claimed Mourinho is killing the talented young man, telling the BBC sport website: ‘This really can’t go on. Jose Mourinho is killing Marcus Rashford.
‘The lad pulled Manchester United from the jaws of defeat at Southampton and then Jose gave the one man who was desperate to win the game for him the hook? It made no sense.
The kid was on a roll and anyone who has played the game could see that. Mourinho may have won trophies but he destroys players in the process.
‘He is doing to Rashford what he did to Arjen Robben at Chelsea. Rashford must get out of United now before what little confidence he has left is destroyed.’
Should Rashford look to leave United?
Mourinho has proven in the past that he will bring success to clubs, pick up a few trophies and make a few enemies in the process, but he has also proven that he does not like to use too many of the younger players at his disposal, leaving many to just rot on the bench.
And although Rashford is getting the game time, there is something not quite right between him and Mourinho and you can clearly see he is not enjoying playing for the special one.
So if a club like Chelsea do show serious interest, then yes he needs to consider his future and possibly decide that now is the best time to leave and forge a career elsewhere.
