Man United free sign £100M target – United target LEAVES Bundesliga giants – Man United encouraged to sign £75M star
Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
Lille might just have given Manchester United a transfer boost after confirming that transfer target Leny Yoro is free to leave the club this summer window.
Yoro has established himself as one of the most promising young centre-backs in European football and is a player that all the big clubs are very interested in signing this summer window.
Manchester United have lost the experienced Rafa Varane this summer after he decided that he would not be agreeing a new contract at Old Trafford – meaning Erik Ten Hag will need to sign an immediate replacement.
Yoro impressed for Lille in his debut senior campaign last season, making 44 appearances for Paulo Fonseca’s side and scoring two goals. The 18-year-old has a year left on his current deal with the French side and is likely to be on the move this summer amid huge interest from top clubs across the continent.
Marca now suggest Manchester United have ‘moved quickly’ and stolen a march with a proposal ‘above the market’ for the centre-half, believed to be in the region of €60m (£51m).
That offer was rejected but Lille now admit they are preparing for Yoro and Jonathan David to leave this summer – Club president Olivier Letang said: “Leny Yoro and Jonathan David can leave the club this summer.
“Both have the ‘exit voucher’ due to their contract situation”
However – Recent reports suggest the 18-year-old has been asked to wait for his number one choice, Real Madrid, after the Champions League final, as Los Blancos are now expected to make an offer for the Frenchman.

Yoro is a brilliant talent – but if Madrid really wants the lad and the defender wants to make the move to La Liga – then Manchester United should stay away from a possible deal as the lads heart will not be in Manchester.
He would be a fantastic signing for the club though that is for sure.
WRIGHT ON BRANTHWAITE –
Ian Wright has given a glowing review of Manchester United target Jarrad Branthwaite, with the Red Devils keen on the defender this summer.
Manchester United are in the headlines alot over the last few months as there are alot of speculation and rumours about players that could leave the club, and players that could come in and get the side challenging once again.
Rafa Varane is leaving the club once his contract at Old Trafford officially ends – meaning that Man United will need to delve into that transfer kitty to add a new defender and Branthwaite is a man that the club wants.
According to recent reports, United believe they can capitalise on Everton’s situation this month but the Toffees are refusing to let the 21-year-old leave for a cut-price fee and are holding out for a figure in the region of £75 million.
The departure of Varane means that Man United are desperate to replace the Frenchman and are confident that they can convince Everton into selling one of the clubs most in-demand players.
But a £75million valuation for the England ace, 21, is understood to have baulked United’s interest. However, Arsenal legend Wright appears to reckon he would be a major asset for any Prem club.
The ex-Three Lions’ striker told The Overlap’s Stick to Football podcast: “Pace? Oh, brilliant. Reading of the game? Fantastic. Attacking the ball? brilliant in both boxes. Passing out…”

Branthwaite is seen as the next big thing coming out of Everton after making a real impact at the Merseysiders – but the money that is being talked about is mad as United want to improve other areas of the pitch.
If the Red Devils do manage to sign the lad this summer – they need to make sure that he is signed for the right kind of money and he is actually good enough to play in that back-line.
Remember – Manchester United will be looking to get Champions League football next season.
TERZI LEAVES DORTMUND
Manchester United have decided to stick with Erik Ten Hag – but one of the clubs targets has just left Borussia Dortmund.
After months and months and months of speculation – the decision from that Manchester United board was to keep hold of Eik ten Hag for another season having failed to find another suitable candidate.
But the boss is not merely grateful to get more time and will lay down the rules for how things will go forward, and He will not cede control of transfers, which the new set-up wanted to take out of his hands
However – there is now a chance to appoint one of their targets this summer as Edin Terzic has decided to leave Borussia Dortmund, the club have confirmed, after guiding the Bundesliga giants to the Champions League final.
Terzic said: “Dear Borussia fans, even though it is really hurting me right now, I would like to tell you that I will be leaving BVB today.
“It was a huge honour to be able to lead this great club to a DFB Cup victory and most recently to a Champions League final.
“I asked those responsible for a meeting after our final at Wembley because after ten years at BVB, including five years on the coaching team and two and a half years as head coach, I feel that the upcoming new start should be accompanied by a new man on the sidelines.
“Everyone who knows me knows that during this decision-making process of the past few weeks, two hearts have been beating in my chest.
“But even after intensive discussions, my basic feeling has not changed. I always wish Borussia Dortmund only the very best and don’t say goodbye, but see you again. Hey, BVB!”

Keeping Ten Hag was a shock by that Manchester United board – but he is making them pay with that decision. Terzic is a very good young boss that proved himself last season, this could make that Red Devils board make another decision on the future of their Dutch boss.
