Barcelona boss Ververde makes announcement and tells Manchester United ‘he is open to selling’ world class midfielder Arturo Vidal in January
Manchester United have seen their chances of signing Arturo Vidal boosted by Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde, who admits that he is open to allowing the Chile international leave the club in January.
Manchester United have some of the best young players in the Premier League, and it seems that boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is finally starting to get the very best out of his very young side.
However, there is still a feeling in the media that Solskjaer needs to delve into his transfer kitty, spend a bit of money, and land some world class players that will send s statement to the rest of the Premier League.
And that has led to a lot of transfer speculation in the media suggesting that United are hoping to make a January move for Vidal, having been interested in the Chilean for more than a few seasons, but not quite able to make that move and wrap up a transfer deal.
However, that could be about to change in the January window, as Barca boss Ververde has opened up and told United that he may be willing to let Vidal leave the club in the winter window, if the right offer is made.
Valverde said on the Daily Express website: “Vidal is our player. We are happy with him. There are so many rumours. We will see tomorrow if he plays or not.
“And when the January transfer window arrives, we will see what happens.
“There’s a lot of things going on in January but it’s true that we have a lot of midfielders.
“Some have played more than others but all of them are needed.”
Look, there is no doubt that United have as very exciting young side that is more than capable of causing damage to the top teams, but they still need to splash the cash and land a few world class players to improve their current squad.
United are one of the biggest clubs in the game right now, and SHOULD HAVE SOME OF THE BIGGEST PLAYERS, but they don’t, and that needs to change, STARTING WITH VIDAL
