President gives Man United green light to try and sign ‘one of worlds best’
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted that he will not stop Kaliodu Koulibaly leaving the club – giving Man United the green light to complete a deal
Koulibaly is a name that many Man United fans are familiar with, as the club have been linked with a move for the powerhouse for the last few seasons and are still interested in getting a deal done
The 30-year-old had another fantastic season in Naples, helping his team to third place in the Italian league’s premier tier. and last season Koulibaly appeared in 34 games for the Serie A team, scoring three goals and assisting on three occasions.
according to recent reports – Man United have contacted the Italian giants about a possible deal for Koulibaly – one of the most sought after defenders in the game
And according to the same reports – the powerhouse is very tempted by a move to Chelsea and the Premier League
Now – amid all the speculation – De Laurentiis has come out and admitted that he cannot stop Koulibaly from leaving the club this summer if he wants depart the club – he was quoted: “He is a symbol of Napoli, and if he wants to no longer be a symbol, he must decide.
“We must decide. We want Koulibaly to stay, but people can’t be forced to stay.
“Everyone has their own dignity and needs. We respect everyone.”

Koulibaly is a man that is made for the Premier League and this may be his chance to prove himself in the English game – so if the reports are true – he could be a great signing for Erik Ten Hag
