Arsenal fans fuming after Manchester United told to sign talented Frenchman Guendouzi from Emery

Manchester United should sign Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi alongside two other Premier League youngsters if Paul Pogba leaves Old Trafford, Stan Collymore claims.

Pogba left Juventus to return to United, where he played in the academy, in 2016 for a then world record fee worth £93.25m.

However, there has been constant speculation on the media about his future ever since his move back to Old Trafford, as the Frenchman has not lived upto expectations.

And that has led to a lot of transfer speculation in the media that the likes of Madrid and Juventus are ready to pay close to £170 million to try and prise him back away from Manchester.

And Colloymore has told Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make a move for Guendouzi if the Frenchman leaves Old Trafford this summer.

The young Frenchman has become an integral part of the Arsenal since his arrival in the summer after signing from Ligue 2 side Lorient in the summer.

His performances and ability on the ball have impressed many Gunners fans, and many have been shocked with how quickly he has settled into the team, starting most of the Gunners Premier League games last season.

“Of course, if Pogba is allowed to go, then Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have big money to reinvest,” Collymore told The Mirror.

“I’d go down a different route to the Galacticos-like path United have trodden in recent seasons.

“I’d be looking at a mixture of [Declan] Rice, James Maddison and Matteo Guendouzi, three players who would thrive at United.

“They’re young, talented, you could bring them up together and even have a little change left over from Pogba – even if you signed all three.”

If Pogba leaves United will have around £100 million extra to spend on new players, and there will probably be some interest in the Arsenal talent.

But Guendouzi is settled and happy at Arsenal, so unless United offer silly money to secure a transfer deal, they is something that will not happen this summer.

It will be interesting to see just whom United try and sign as a replacement for Pogba, but it would be a shock to see Guendouzi rock up at Old Trafford.
