Solskjaer opens up on Manchester United future of midfielder Herrera
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has admitted he is not sure whether Ander Herrera will be at Manchester United during the summer transfer window.
The midfielder is in the final weeks of his contract at Old Trafford and the Spaniard would be free to leave if the 29-year-old is unable to reach an agreement over a new deal before the end of the season.
That has led to a lot of speculation in the media that both PSG and Arsenal are lining up contract offers for the Spaniard, as Unai Emery is keen to find an immediate replacement for the departing Aaron Ramsey, who is joining Italian giants Juventus.
Now Solskjaer has hinted that Herrera could be all set for a summer exit, after admitted he is not sure what the future holds for the Spaniard, or even if he will feature in the final match of the season against Cardiff.
“He might play I don’t know yet,” he said on the Sky Sports website.

Herrera is an under-rated midfielder at United and it is a shock to see that he has not signed a new contract at United, especially as he has become a big part of the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revolution at Old Trafford.
But if PSG are prepared to offer him the kind of contract that he wants to stay at United, then there is no reason why he cannot be tempted to the Emirates, especially as he would get the opportunity to work under Unai Emery once again.
United will have the funds to make an immediate signing to replace Herrera in the summer, so the loss of the Spaniard will not be too much of a blow for the club.
However, Solskjaer needs to be smart with the money he spends as United need to add some world class players to the side, rather than talented youngsters or players who have not yet proved themselves in the game.
If Herrera leaves United will move on, they always do
