Man United have submitted £60 million bid to sign Inter Milan star Skriniar

Fresh reports have claimed Manchester United have made a £54m (€60m) bid for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

United are reportedly in the transfer market for a new defender after starting the new season with some poor performances at the back, which all culminated in the sacking of Jose Mourinho, who constantly stated that the back-line was not up to the standard that he needed.

That has led to speculation that United are lining up a mega money move for Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly, who is now regarded as one of the finest defenders in Europe. But with Napoli playing hard-ball over any possible deal and sticking a reported £108 million price tag on the head of the defender, United have reportedly been put off.

Now reports on the TuttoMercato website have claimed United are desperate to sign Skriniar, 23 this month and have already made a massive £54m (€60m) offer for Inter Milan centre-back.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may not be the permanent manager just yet, but he would love to add a world class scentr-back to the back-line and there are not too many defenders out there right now that have the ability to Skriniar.

However, United are not the only club interested in a deal as Chelsea, Real Madrid and Juventus have also been linked with a mega money swoop.

Can United seriously sign Skriniar this month?

Skriniar is just the type of player that United love to sign, a young, hungry player with bags of potential that will eventually become a world class player of he develops at the right club.

So if they can complete a deal for the 23-year old, even for the money that is being talked about, it will be a great bit of business by the club.
