Man United hold talks while Ten hag away – Midfielder confirms United talks – Winger drops Man United transfer hint
Here is a roundup of the top Man United news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –
Manchester United midfielder Sofyan Amrabat has admitted that he is keen on a permanent stay at Old Trafford.
Right now many of the United players are enjoying a few days off after a tough season in which they really struggled in the Premier League – but managed to shock Man City in the FA Cup and come home with the trophy.
But with the transfer window just a few days away – there has been alot of speculation that there will be some big changes for Man United over the next few months as players will come and go.
Amrabat has been a standout performer for the club in winning silverware, but his loan deal ends in a few days and there has not been any talks about extending his stay in Manchester.
However – amid that speculation and rumours – he stated his desire to stay at Manchester United – Speaking to Ziggo Sport, he said: “Do I already know what I’m going to do next year? No. We are going to talk. Staying is certainly an option. Look, I think it has been a very difficult season.
‘For Manchester United it needs to be much better, and also for me personally.
‘We are going to talk. Manchester United are the biggest club in the world, so who wouldn’t want to play football here? But all parties have to be happy with each other, so we will sit down now and see what happens.”

Look, if Manchester United wanted to keep Amrabat they surely would have held talks over a deal earlier in the season? He has been decent but not great.
But it will be interesting to see if he does stay at the club that is for sure.
POCHETTINO TALKS HELD –
It has been claimed that Man United have made a move to hire Mauricio Pochettino as boss.
After months and months of speculation and rumours – Chelsea and Pochettino have finally parted ways after the former Tottenham boss failed to achieve the clubs targets for the season.
There has been some talk that Pochettino was also not happy with the fact that he would have no say in the type of players that would be sold in the coming transfer window, and the players that could be signed.
Now According to The Telegraph, Manchester United have met with representatives for Pochettino now that the Argentine is a free agent after his Chelsea exit was confirmed.
The latest reports come after earlier chats with representatives of Kieran McKenna. Former United coach McKenna, who has led Ipswich Town to back-to-back promotions, is also understood to be one of the men considered by Chelsea as a successor to Pochettino
Ten Hag went ahead with plans for a holiday after the cup final – something which had always been his intention – as the rumours about his future at the club continue to dominate the headlines.
“If they don’t want me any more, I go somewhere else and win trophies, that’s what I’ve done my whole career,” Ten Hag told reporters after the cup final.
“Football is about winning trophies at the end of the day,” he said in quotes shared by club media. “I want to play the best football, attacking football, dynamic football. But in the end, you have to win games and trophies.
“That is the mentality we brought in and we had only one opportunity this season, in the FA Cup. I am very proud of the players and the staff because they did a fantastic job.”
GREENWOOD DROPS BIG HINT –
Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has indicated that he will not extend his stay at Getafe.
Greenwood impressed during his loan spell in Spain, scoring ten times and providing five assists in for the Spanish side as he looked to reignite his career.
He has not played for Manchester United since his arrest in January 2022 for attempted rape, controlling behaviour and assault. All charges were dropped in February last year.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has not ruled out the possibility of Greenwood returning to the club but there has been alot of rumours about where he could end up once his loan deal is finished with Getafe.
Getafe had made it clear that they were open to keeping Greenwood on loan for another season, and remain optimistic regarding their chances of retaining a player that has been billed as “The King” at Coliseum Alfonso Perez. Club president Angel Torres has told Movistar when asked for an update on Greenwood: “We depend on Manchester. The idea is for him to stay.”
But the 22-year-old appears to have ruled that move out – In a message on Instagram on Sunday evening, Greenwood wrote: ‘Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season.
‘Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own. I enjoyed every second, alongside my teammates and club.
‘A bitter sweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you, I wish you all the best.’
Should he move on, a number of clubs are interested in sealing a deal for his services. Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are chasing him, while Borussia Dortmund recently joined the race for the 22-year-old’s signature.
