Man United in midfielder talks – Greenwood message sent – Man United make German offer
Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –
Galatasary have confirmed that they are in talks with Manchester United over a deal for midfielder Scott McTominay.
The Scotland international was in the starting line-up as United stunned Manchester City to win the FA Cup final in May, and seemed to be a big part of the plans of Erik Ten Hag.
A sale of McTominay this summer looked much less likely than last, but Galatasaray’s vice-chairman has suggested that it is very much a possibility after confirming that both clubs are in talks over a potential deal for the midfielder.
Ibrahim Hatipoglu told CNN Turk: ‘We are interested in a player from the Premier League and Manchester United
‘There is nothing more natural than the high cost of this. There are discussions regarding his transfer fee. For us, the total cost, including transfer fees and player receivables [salary], is important at the decision point.
‘Once the negotiations with both the club and the player are completed, the cost becomes apparent.’
‘McTominay’s transfer is being discussed,’ said Hatipoglu. ‘Pierre-Emile Højbjerg is a good player, he has many suitors, he wants to see all options.’

This news has come as a shock to many that Manchester United are really willing to let McTominay leave the club when he played such a big part of the squad last season – but it is probably the right move.
He is a solid player that puts a good shift in – but if Man United wants to get back into the habit of competing at the very highest level of the game – then replacing the Scottish star may be the best thing.
UNITED MAKE TAH MOVES –
Manchester United have enquired about signing Jonathan Tah, according to Sky Germany.
Man United have been in the headlines alot over the past few weeks as a number of players have been linked with a move to Old Trafford – and United have been pushing to sign Bayern’s Matthijs de Ligt but have so far failed to agree a fee with the club
Now – reports have claimed that The Red Devils are looking to hijack Bayern Munich’s move for the Bayer Leverkusen defender.
An agreement has yet to be reached to allow the Germany defender to move to Bayern this summer, and Man United are trying to bring him to the Premier League.
Leverkusen’s CEO recently opened up and admitted that they will be tempted into selling the unit in the summer.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Carro said: “We want to extend his contract. We are a club that will not give players away for free. That means that we have to extend his contract, otherwise we will sell him. We have spoken to Jonathan, we value him very much.
‘He knows that the club and all of us want to keep him in Leverkusen. He knows that. But we also respect his wish. We will see whether he stays with us in the end or goes somewhere else. We hope he stays.
“If I try to put myself in Jonathan’s position, it might be more interesting for him if he wants to move or would end up moving, perhaps not to move within Germany. Maybe it is more interesting to move abroad.”

Tah has been brilliant for Leverkusen this season and they will not want to sell, but if Manchester United make the right offer, then they could be getting a very classy defender.
GREENWOOD CLAIM MADE –
Lazio president Claudio Lotito has accused ‘terrified’ rival clubs Juventus and Napoli of trying to ‘disrupt’ their move for Manchester United outcast Mason Greenwood this summer.
Greenwood, who has been capped once by the England national team, is out of contract in 2025 and United are determined to offload their academy product this summer before he can leave for free in 12 months’ time.
There has been alot of transfer talk in the media about where he will end up – as it was only reported last week that Marseille were closing in on a deal for the attacker after having their offer accepted.
But according to recent reports emanating out of Italy, Lazio are close to pulling out of the race for Greenwood’s signature and the Serie A side are now considering a bid to sign Barcelona’s Vitor Roque.
But Lazio president Claudio Lotito has hit out at his rival Italian clubs for trying to stop the winger from joining the club this summer: ‘I offered €25million (£21m) including 50 per cent on a future resale, plus bonuses and commissions,’ Lazio president Lotito told TMW when asked for an update on the club’s move to Greenwood.

Many clubs dont know what to do with Greenwood as he was never prosecuted with anything and he is living his life. But he did show at Getafe last season that he is a quality player that still offers clubs alot.
