Sorry Arsenal as Manchester United interested in signing £17 million bargain who wants summer move
Lyon’s Houssem Aouar is reportedly a transfer target for Manchester United, which may upset rivals Arsenal
It is no secret that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is a massive fan of Aouar and wanted the board to sanction a transfer move either in the summer, or the January window, to get a transfer deal done.
Lyon wanted £55million for his signature in the summer, a fee that was more than what Arsenal paid to release Thomas Partey from his Atletico Madrid deal, and with Covid hitting the club in the inter window, they did not intend to pay that fee in January either.
However, there has been alot of rumours over the past few months that Aouar wants to leave the French club this summer and with his contract running down, reports have claimed that Arsenal are ready to swoop back in
However, Le10sport report that Aouar could be a potential replacement for Paul Pogba at Old Trafford
Pogba’s situation, as he is now into the final 12 months of his contract and continues to be linked with a move away from Old Trafford, is back in the media that he is looking increasingly likely to leave the club
It’s reported that Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their interest in Pogba and are ready to meet his £80 million asking price, but United may face competition for Aouar, with Liverpool and Arsenal also keen on the 23 year old.
Aouar made 33 appearances for Lyon last year, scoring eight goals.
Aouar is certainly a player that is attracting all the right interest so it is no shock to see that United are keen too, especially for that £17 million he could be going for this summer
But until a deal is done guys, it will just be very interesting to see where he ends up.
