Wow! £80 million rated star Maguire ‘would be honoured’ to sign and play for Manchester United

Harry Maguire would be honoured to play for Manchester United and follow in the footsteps of his heroes Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand.

Maguire has become one of the most talked about players in the transfer window if you are a United fan, as there has been constant speculation in the media that Ole Gunnar Solskjsaer is keen to add him to the squad.

Solskjaer can sign players whom he believes will help get the side back inside the top four and then challenging for the premier League title, with Maguire on the shopping list, with the Englishman impressing for Leicester over the past 12 months.

And according to reports on the Sky Sports website the England defender is frustrated at Leicester’s stance at the moment and is reportedly keen to make the move to Old Trafford in the coming weeks.

The reports suggests that he would be honoured to follow the likes of Ferdinand and Vidic at United, who became two of the best defenders around after they made that big move to Old Trafford.
Maguire has a choice to make this summer as he looks set for that big move, and choosing United over Manchester City, and vice versa, is a tough one to make.

However, the £70 million price tag is simply too much as he is not worth that kind of money just yet and United would be better off spending that kind of money on someone like Kalidou Koulibaly or Raphael Varane, who have been tested at the very highest level of the game.

Maguire needs a few more years at the top of the game before someone pays silly money to get a transfer deal done, he is not at that ‘world class level’ yet.

But it will be interesting to see just how this one plays out in the coming months as United would be paying crazy money to sign a player that is unproven at the very highest level, and that may not be able to help solve their defensive issues.

LFC paid £75m for Van Dyk who according to opinion is now worth £120m. If Man Utd play all league, cups and Euro cups making 60+ matches of which 50+ are British style matches. Therefore at £80m he is worth it and is England’s first pick centre half gaining further Euro experience.
Koulibaly is valued at £100m ! but not played British style football week in week out so unknown if he is up to it consistently. It suggests McGuire is the better bargain as it’s the job that wants doing not always how and Van Dyk is not available anymore.
