Maguire ‘will prove to be very good Manchester United signing’ fans have been told and heres why!

Christian Fuchs is in no doubt that Harry Maguire will prove himself a “great signing” for Manchester United.

Maguire is the most expensive defender in world football after he sealed that mammoth £80 million move to Old Trafford just a few seasons ago, and seemingly adjusted to life in Manchester during his first season at the club.

But his form his dipped this season, prompting heavy criticism from prominent pundits, while he has also become embroiled in an ongoing legal battle with Greek authorities, Fuchs, though, believes that the 27-year-old will prove himself one of the finest centre-backs in the world once again.

“You can only know what’s going on when you are really behind closed doors,” the Austrian told Goal . “No one has those insights but the way I experienced Harry when he was here was that he is always trying his best to perform well.

“Sometimes, you want to try to give your best but it simply doesn’t work the way everyone wishes. Not only the player himself or the fans, but everybody.

“I am sure he is strong enough to get through that. He was a great signing for Leicester and he will be for Manchester United. I am sure he will get back to his best.

“When you are the last line of defence, then people find it easy to point fingers at you. Defending, like attacking, is a team effort, though, so it should be seen that way.”

Maguire is a very good defender that is not having the best of starts to the new season, but once he gets going, United should have no worries as he has proven that he is already a very good signing.

He just needs to keep focused and his head on playing.
