Zidane taking next step in order to seal shock move to Manchester United
Shock reports have claimed Zinedine Zidane is learning English ahead of a move to Manchester United at the end of the season.
United have not had the best start to the new season and are already eight points behind leaders Liverpool in the Premier League, while their Carabao Cup loss to Derby in midweek has sent most of the Red Devils fans over the edge.
And with so much speculation surrounding the future of boss Jose Mourinho, and his handling of a number of star players, there has been rumours that United are finally ready to ditch the special one and replace him with Zidane.
The Frenchman has been enjoying some much needed time out after guiding Real Madrid to three Champions League wins on the spot, and is tipped to replace Mourinho at the end of the season with reports he is ready to get back into management and take the chance to manage in the Premier League.
And now The Sun claim Zidane is ramping up his preparations to land the United job, undertaking intensive English lessons to be better equipped to manage in the Premier League.
Reports claim that Zidane has already turned down a number of possible job opportunities as he wants to take over at United, and is getting ready to immediately take up the role if it become available during the course of the season, or in the summer.
Is Zidane a good fit for United? Here is what we think.
Mourinho was brought into the club to regain the Premier League and mount a serious challenge for the Champions League title, but so far he has not looked like the manager he once was and is falling further behind the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City.
But Zidane is a man with a lot to prove, as his Champions League titles show he is only good in cup competitions, especially since he failed to land the La Liga title during his stint as Madrid boss.
His tactical ability has always been questioned and so has been his defensive qualities as coach, so it would be a big gamble replacing Mourinho with the Frenchman and one United can ill afford to make.
