PSG star Thomas Meunier has admitted that he wants to sign a new deal with the French Champions and stay put this transfer window, with Manchester United keen on a transfer deal.
With United looking to revamp the side in the coming transfer window and acquire some players that will help the side get back into winning the Premier League, there has been a lot of speculation about whom the Red Devils could try and acquire.
And one name that has been linked with a possible move to Old Trafford is that of Meunier, who was seen as a great alternative to Aaron Wan-Bassika if United were unable to complete a transfer deal for the young defender.
The Belgian is in the final year of his contract and has been out of favour at the Ligue 1 champions this term, and recent reports claimed that United made contact before they completed a £55 million deal for Bassika..
But he has now come out and admitted that he has no intention of leaving the club and will seek to sign a new long-term contract with the French Giants.
“The club knows my intentions. I want to stay in Paris,” Meunier told France Football
”The executives know I am open to spending my fourth season here and to signing a new contract. It will be their decision – everything is in their hand .”
There has been some speculation about the possible deal between Tottenham and Manchester United for Christian Eriksen, and although he has become an important player for Spurs, should he be sold?

The agent of Paul Pogba has claimed that the Manchester United midfielder has done nothing wrong, as he seeks a summer move away from Old Trafford.
Pogba has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past few months with his lacklustre performances and hints that he wants to leave the club and head to Spain.
Speaking during a tour of Asia with adidas last month, Pogba said he is eyeing “a new challenge” in his career just three years on from his £89million return to Old Trafford, with Real Madrid reportedly keen on a transfer deal.
It is believed in the media that the Spanish giants are ready to offer United something over the £100 million mark to try and secure a deal for the Frenchman, with boss Zinedine Zidane a big fans of the midfielder.
“The player [Paul Pogba] has done nothing wrong,” Raiola told talkSPORT. “He has been respectful and professional in every way and always.
“The club has known his feeling for a long time. It is a shame other people only like to criticise without the right information, and I am also sorry that the club does not take any position against this.
“Hopefully there will be soon a satisfying solution for all parties.”
