Man United News: Deal closes in after announcement, Ole has decided to sign Seria A midfielder, CEO tells Ole £120m target free to sign in summer
Guys here is a roundup of the latest Manchester United news, gossip and transfer news from icfootballnews.comm over the past 24 hours.
Manchester United target Harry Kane has spoken about his frustration at so far failing to win trophies with Tottenham – and says he is prepared to leave if the team does not progress.
Despite spending some serious money during the last couple of transfer windows, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to delve into that transfer kitty to land a world class striker that could lead this United attack back to the very top.
Marcus Rashford has done a decent job this season, but many doubt whether he is the answer to United’s long-term problems and that has led to a lot, and we mean a lot , of transfer speculation in the media linking the club with a number of players in the next few windows, with Kane on the list..
With Spurs likely to miss out on Champions League football again this season, recent reports have claimed the England captain is unsure as to whether he will be able to take his career to the next level in North London under Jose Mourinho, and has been considering his long-term future at the club for some time now.
Kane has shown his loyalty to Tottenham by staying put for so long, but with the club in need of adding some big titles to the cabinet to keep hold of their biggest stars, the way things are going, Kane knows that he needs to have a serious think about his future, despite the fact that Jose Mourinho and Daniel Levy will do everything possible to keep him, including offering a new £200,000-a-week deal.
However, he has come out and alerted the likes of United by admitting that he will leave the club in the coming windows if the team does not start progressing, he told Sky Sports news: “It’s one of those things, I couldn’t say yes, I couldn’t say no. I love Spurs, I’ll always love Spurs. But it’s one of those things – I’ve always said if I don’t feel we’re
progressing as a team or going in the right direction, then I’m not someone to just stay there for the sake of it
“I’m an ambitious player, I want to improve, I want to get better, I want to become one of the top, top players.
“It all depends on what happens as a team and how we progress as a team. So it’s not a definite I’m going to stay there forever – but it’s not a no either.”
Ramsey was in talks over a new deal for months, but simply could not come to some sort of agreement at the club as very high wages, and rumours he would not be part of Unai Emery’s plans at the Emirates, meant he was able to agree a pre-contract agreement with Juventus in January.
And he announced that he would be making that big move to Juventus, after agreeing a four-and-a-half year deal with the Champions for a wage of around £325,000-a-week.

“It’s also my understanding that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen on Ramsey, likes him very much, a player in his prime.”
United will be in the market for a few new players in the summer, but would making a move for Ramsey really be a good move? Especially as he has failed to make the kind of impact at Juventus that may expected.
United need players that will make an impact and although Ramsey is decent, surely he will not solve any issues at the club if signed?
Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke says the club will not stand in the way of Manchester United target Jadon Sancho if he wants to leave in the summer.
United were expected to delve into their transfer kitty over the January window and bring in a few statement signings that would make an impact on the side, and give Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side that extra push they need to get back inside the top four by the end of the season.
However, United could not get a deal done for Sancho as Borussia Dortmund did not want to sell their best player half way through the season, and in the end, United failed to make the kind of signings that they needed to improve the side enough.
But United are expected to resume their interest in the summer and will reportedly pay up to £100million for his signature, especially after seeing the young man become the youngest player in the Bundesliga to score 25-goals earlier this season.
Sky Sports News has been told that when the German football season resumes – and finishes – and when the transfer window re-opens, Sancho will leave Dortmund, meaning that United would be able to complete a transfer deal for their top target.
“You always have to respect what the player wants,” Watzke told Bild.
“We already said before corona that our preference is for Jadon to remain with us.
“I can say clearly that even the very rich clubs, despite the current existential crisis, shouldn’t think they can get a bargain from us. We don’t have to sell anyone below their value.”
Sancho is a brilliantly gifted midfielder that does have all the potential to become one of the best midfielders in the game, and for that £120 million valuation on his head, it could be a great investment from the Red Devils.
