Manchester United can wrap up mega superstar deal as £100 million man Bale wants to leave Real Madrid
Fresh reports have again claimed that Manchester United target Gareth Bale wants to leave Real Madrid.
Bale has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons over the past few months as all indications suggested that he was leaving Madrid during the transfer window, especially after Zidane came out and pretty much admitted that he no longer wanted the Welshman in his squad anymore.
That led to a lot of transfer speculation that United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could swoop in and offer the four-time Champions League winner a move back to the Premier League, as he sought to acquire that superstar signing that his squad needed, but he couldn’t meet the high valuation on Bales head.
And with the transfer window now closed, Zidane has done a total U-turn and admitted that Bale will now be staying at the club, telling the AS website: “We talked about it before the match, I think we talked about it two or three times to say that he is going to stay. And all the players that are here now are only thinking about this season.
“I think this is true considering the way Gareth performed, but not only Gareth. I think that everyone played a good game.
“All we have to do is to think about this season and I am sure that he and all the other players only think about staying here and play.”
But according to fresh reports on Spanish publication AS, Bale has now decided that he does indeed want to leave Madrid and will seek a move away in the coming windows, alerting some of the biggest clubs in the game to a possible deal.
The 30-year-old was left out of the squad for the recent Champions League encounter with Club Brugge last week and has been in and out of the side under Zinedine Zidane.
Bale is an absolute superstar in the game and still one of the best players at the club, so it was a shock to see that he was put on the transfer list by the Frenchman. So even though Zidane would have liked to sell Bale, the best option was to keep hold as the Welshman is a game-changer.
But if United are interested at the end of the season they will surely make a move for the Welshman.
