Manchester United ‘have opened talks’ with the representatives of £80 million rated Frenchman
Manchester United have opened talks with Paul Pogba’s representatives over a new contract.
The midfielder’s current deal expires in the summer of 2022 and so far discussions have not been held over new terms which would mean that, if United did not sell him this summer and failed to tie him down to a new contract next season, then he would be able to leave on a free transfer.
There has been so much speculation in the media about his future at the club that United fans are sick of seeing him in the headlines, but he has not played down speculation that he would like to leave the club.
However, United are determined to keep hold of the Frenchman as they believe that they can get the very best of of Pogba, and According to Sky Sports, United are keen on holding on to Pogba with a fresh deal.
It is believed that they are ready to offer him a contract that will make him the highest paid player at the club and one of the highest in the Premier League, hoping that would be enough to end speculation about his future.
Pogba is a player that most clubs would love to have in the squad, and on his day, he can be world class for United. But there is too much rumours about his future, so if he needs to leave, then United need to cash in now and try to get as much money as they possibly can.
They may want to hand him a new contract, but that wont stop the rumours
