Solskjaer told £43 million man will make Manchester United move ‘when the price is right’
Manchester United target Thomas Partey will leave Atletico Madrid as soon as the price is right, the midfielder’s father Jacob has claimed.
Arsenal and United are both linked to the Ghana star who reportedly has a release clause of around £46million, as they both seek to improve certain areas of the pitch for a Premier League title push next season.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has done a decent job, and the club may be on an 11 match unbeaten run in the premier League, but his squad is lacking top-class and world class players in key areas of the pitch and he knows that he needs to spend some serious money to improve that.
Partey has been linked with a move to Arsenal in recent days, and indications suggest that Mikel Arteta’s side are leading the chase, but no deal has been done yet, meaning that United still have a chance to get a transfer deal done.
And they have been boosted in their chase after his father came out and told the star to leave when the money is right, Jacob Partey told Bryt FM: “I will advise him on any day to move from Atletico Madrid when there is big money because that is his chosen job.
“The truth is that there is life after football. As a father, I always want the best for my son; I don’t want him to struggle when he calls it a day.
“So, if a club decides to sign him and the money involved is good, I will advise him to move.
“It will be prudent for my son to make a move that will make him rich and also do investments.”
Look, the transfer window is many months away and there will be alot of talk between now and then, but United do need to back Solskjaer with signings as this United side still needs alot of work.
