Smart decision! Stopper Pereira opens up and announces he wants to get Manchester United deal done this summer

Manchester United goalkeeper Joel Pereira has revealed he is looking to leave the club on loan this summer.

Periera is currently training hard in Perth, Australia, as part of a 28-man squad for Tour 2019, working closely each day with Sergio Romero and number one David De Gea.

But it is widely expected that he will not get much game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this coming season as Romero and De Gea are still well ahead of him in the pecking order.

And rather than sit on the bench and collect his wages, the young stopper has now revealed that he wants to head out on loan this season and get some much needed game time.

He told the United website: “I think that in this new season it will be important for me to play somewhere, so probably going on loan will be the best option for me, to get some games to come back better and stronger.

“We will see, we are looking at some options. Maybe I will stay in the UK and that will be great for me. The club is doing the work. My only focus is here in Australia, I am focused on the training every single day and in the games that are coming up.

“I have been working very hard. Physically I feel great. I have prepared myself for this moment and I am feeling really well. I am just trying to give my best every day in training.”

The lad is very talented and one for the future for United, so the decision to leave the club for the forthcoming season in order to get regular game time will be the right decision to make.

Right now there is not much chance of him getting a regular starting spot in the first team and although he would feature in a couple of domestic cup competitions, it would not be enough to develop.

A loan move away from the club will be a great decision to make by the lad.
