Barcelona target Paul Pogba admits ‘he could leave’ Manchester United
Frenchman Paul Pogba has admitted he could leave Manchester United in the near future.
Pogba has once again been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons this season having fallen out with boss Jose Mourinho once again, and been very unimpressive with his Premier League performances.
Pogba has also been too versatile with his off-field glamour and punk lifestyle, he’s caught up in this larger than life image and is starting to believe he is bigger than United.
That has led to speculation that he now wants to jump ship and make the big money move to Barcelona either in the January window or at the end of the current season.
In fact the odds on Pogba leaving United have plumited significantly and many media outlets are already starting to report on who will be signed as his immediate replacement.
Paul Pogba said in his recent interview: “My future is currently in Manchester.
“I still have a contract, I’m playing there at the moment, but who knows what will happen in the near future,”
Since his move back to Manchester, Pogba has failed to be consistent and has constantly been criticised for his attitude and performances.
Asked about his relationship with Mourinho, Pogba told Sky In Germany: “We have a pure coach-player relationship, that’s right.”
Here is what we think.
Pogba is supposed to be a superstar in the United squad that helps take the side to the next level of the game, but he goes missing too much in big games to warrant being labelled one of the worlds best.
Punters think that United side is, as always, a candidate for winning the trophy. However, unstable or unsettled players can only make things worse, in this case, Pogba’s games are not perfect and online bookmakers see that too.
He plays like a man who wants to leave, like a man who is not happy and like a man who doesn’t care whether United win or lose.
Mourinho would prefer to have Pogba in his side, as the Frenchman is just the type of player the special one likes to have in his squad.
But the problem with Pogba is that he is too much of a Mourinho player and if the right offer arrives in January, then United should sell as they actually be better off without Pogba.
United do not need all this drama surrounding the players, Mourinho brings enough of that to the club, and sometimes getting rid of the player is better than the manager, especially someone of Mourinho’quality and standing in the game.
