Manchester United board told ‘they would be lucky’ to get £100 million rated Premier League midfielder
Manchester United are thought to be facing a battle to sign Declan Rice, according to reports.
Rice has developed into one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League over the last few seasons and is destined to make a move to one of the big boys of the League.
It is no secret that United are massive fans of the player and have been linked with a move in previous windows, but considering Rice will not be leaving the Hammers until the end of the season, there will continue to be alot more rumours in the media regarding the man.
Chelsea and Liverpool are claimed to be ahead of the Red Devils in their bid to acquire the West Ham and England midfielder, but ex-Irons right-back Glen Johnson reckons United would be a good destination for the 22-year-old.
Johnson, 37, told Bettingodds.com: “I don’t think Manchester United could get anyone better than Declan Rice.
“If he was available, I think Chelsea or Liverpool would be in front of them anyway.
“Those players only come around once.”
If United do make a move for Rice, they need to make sure that they do not pay silly money for the player because he may be good, but he is not worth that £100 million that the Hammers reportedly value him at.
However, he would help take that United midfield to the next level, he really is top-class. So United should make a move and try to get a deal done before their rivals get the offers in.
This United side should be signing the best players in the Premier League, and Rice is fast becoming one of the best midfielders in the English game
