Man United to follow up meeting with massive £100 million January move?
Fresh reports have again claimed that Manchester United are lining up a January move for Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho.
The 19-year-old England international, who left Manchester City to join the Bundesliga outfit in 2017, emerged as a top summer target for United, but Dortmund refused to sell and United were not prepared to pay such a big amount for the youngster.
The lad is a creative force and was one of the top assist players in Europe last season, and considering United are in need of adding some much needed excitement, goals and creativity on the wings, the lad is growing into their perfect signing.
in August Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke revealed he turned down an approach for the England international from a “super club” earlier this year, and Director Michael Zorc came out and admitted that United had a meeting about a possible deal.
“A hot topic right now is Sancho and Manchester United,” Zorc said in the Amazon Prime documentary’ ‘Inside Borussia Dortmund’
“Both his discussions with the club and mine with the agent, a meeting did take place. Manchester United invited the agent.
“According to what I know, the agent told the club that no matter how much money they offer, we won’t let him go this summer.
“The player also has no intention of taking that step this summer .”
Now the according to reports on ESPN website, The Norwegian is understood to be keen to continue his current transfer strategy of bringing the best British youngsters to Old Trafford and is keen on trying to nail down Sancho.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a lot to do over the coming seasons to improve this United side enough to be challenging again, but spending a big amount on this young man would certainly go a long way into achieving that.
If there is a chance for United to sign up Sancho, they should definitely take it.
So United will make more of a firm offer as they still need to add that x-factor signing to the club in the coming transfer windows, and despite his age, Sancho could be that man?
