Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Manchester United have learned that they can land Serhou Guirassy for an absolute bargain this summer window.

According to German outlet Bild, Arsenal and Manchester United are in the the race for Serhou Guirassy’s signature – as they search for attacking reinforcements – along with AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund, with the publication branding the forward a player ‘in demand’.

Guirassy enjoyed a prolific season in front of goal after joining Stuttgart on a permanent basis 12 months ago, netting 30 times in 30 appearances to help the club finish second in the Bundesliga table behind Xabi Alonso’s undefeated Bayer Leverkusen.

The report claims that Guirassy is likely to move on from Stuttgart ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and the Guinea international is available for a ‘bargain price’ of just €18-20million (£15-17m) this summer.

According to reporter Iomie Stanley – he could have been a brilliant addition to that attack – he told icfootballnews: ‘United are in dire need of a striker – they need to splash the cash.

There has been so many links to big names – but spending £15 million on this man could be a summer bargain – he really is proving himself over in the Bundesliga.

‘He could be a great short term solution to the clubs biggest problem.’

Manchester United are worried about the financial fair play rules and that is why they are not signing the players that Erik Ten Hag needs – but it is a shame to see that Guirassy wants to stay put.

The Premier League could have been a brilliant test of his ability and coming to a massive club like the Red Devils could have been the club that would have taken him to that next level.

It will be interesting to see what happens if an official offer is made.

BRANTHWAITE AGREES TERMS –

Everton are allegedly eyeing up Victor Lindelof as a replacement for Manchester United bound Jarrad Brantwaite.

Rafa Varane is leaving the club once his contract at Old Trafford officially ends  – meaning that Man United will need to delve into that transfer kitty to add a new defender and Branthwaite is a man that the club wants.

According to recent reports, United believe they can capitalise on Everton’s situation this month but the Toffees are refusing to let the 21-year-old leave for a cut-price fee and are holding out for a figure in the region of £75 million.

The departure of Varane means that Man United are desperate to replace the Frenchman and are confident that they can convince Everton into selling one of the clubs most in-demand players.

Reports have suggested that the Red Devils have agreed terms with the defender but have had a £35m opening bid rejected.

Now a fresh report from HITC has claimed: “Everton have identified potential replacements for English defender Jarrad Branthwaite, who is edging closer to a move to Manchester United.

“One player who the Toffees have targeted in the past is Victor Lindelof, with the Red Devils open to allowing the Swedish defender to leave Old Trafford this summer.

“Lindelof has been in and out of the United team this season but with the club closing in on bringing in Branthwaite to Old Trafford, the former Benfica man may believe the time is right to move on.”

If the Red Devils do manage to sign the lad this summer – they need to make sure that he is signed for the right kind of money and he is actually good enough to play in that back-line.

Manchester United are a long way off the likes of Arsenal, Man City and Liverpool and need to make some quality signings.

UNITED SCOUTS WANTS YORO –

Manchester United scouts have raved about Lille defender Leny Yoro and recommended him to boss Erik Ten Hag

Yoro made 32 appearances in the French top flight last season, scoring twice and keeping 15 clean sheets as Lille finished fourth, and established himself as one of the most promising young centre-backs in European football

Manchester United have lost the experienced Rafa Varane this summer after he decided that he would not be agreeing a new contract at Old Trafford – meaning Erik Ten Hag will need to sign an immediate replacement.

Now –  According to Football Insider, scouts have already been to watch the sought-after talent and have reported incredibly positive feedback to manager Erik ten Hag and owners INEOS

Marca recently suggested Manchester United have ‘moved quickly’ and stolen a march with a proposal ‘above the market’ for the centre-half, believed to be in the region of €60m (£51m).

That offer was rejected but Lille now admit they are preparing for Yoro and Jonathan David to leave this summer – Club president Olivier Letang said: “Leny Yoro and Jonathan David can leave the club this summer.

“Both have the ‘exit voucher’ due to their contract situation”

However – Recent reports suggest the 18-year-old has been asked to wait for his number one choice, Real Madrid as Los Blancos are now expected to make an offer for the Frenchman.

Yoro is a brilliant talent – but if Madrid really wants the lad and the defender wants to make the move to  La Liga – then Manchester United should stay away from a possible deal as the lads heart will not be in Manchester.

The Red Devils may want the lad but it seems he wants Madrid
