Manchester United will open talks with Arsenal or Tottenham about summer deal

Reports have claimed Manchester United are willing to offload Arsenal and Tottenham transfer target Eric Bailly in the summer transfer window.

Since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as boss, Bailly has had very little game time with the Red Devils legend preferring Victor Lindelöf, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones at the back, which has led to a lot of speculation that he will look to leave the club at the end of the season.

Solskjaer will also be looking to rebuild the side in the summer and is expected to have around £200 million to acquire the type of players that will help the club challenge Manchester City, Liverpool and Tottenham for the Premier League title.

And according to the Metro website, Solskjaer is keen to bring in a new central defender and will allow Bailly to leave the club if the right offer arrives.

Gunners boss Unai Emery may have spent a whole load of money in the summer window, but his back-line has simply not been good enough this season and it is widely expected that he also delves into his transfer kitty and land a few new players, with Bailly on his shopping lost.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino may have one of the best defences in the Premier League, but with talk that Toby Alderweireld will be leaving after failing to agree a new contract, they have also shown an interest in Bailly over the past few months.

Here is what we think.

Bailly has been plagued by injuries this season and that is why he has been unable to break into the United side, but many fans will tell you that he has been the clubs best defender over the past few seasons.

He is a decent defender that just needs to work under the right coach and although he would love to stay at Old Trafford, a move to the Emirates or White Hart Lane would be the answer to his regressing career, which has been stalling this season.
