Man United SHOULD SIGN striker – United submit offer for Barca star – Midfielder WANTS to be Man United player

Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news and gossip that we think you guys could have missed today –

Manchester United have reportedly submitted an opening £29.6 million bid for Vitor Roque but Barcelona are holding out for closer to £50m, but he may struggle to make an impact at the club according to reporter Iomie Stanley.

Manchester United are expected to make many acquisitions during the summer transfer window, and a new attacker may be one of the top objectives for manager Erik ten Hag as he seeks to add some more goals to that attack.

United really struggled in the Premier League last season and had an awful campaign, which was only saved by that stunning FA Cup win over Champions Man City, which also kept Erik ten Hag in his job.

Now, according to Manchester Evening News. Manchester United have contacted Barcelona in hope that they can convince the Spanish giants to led go of Vitor Roque this transfer window with an offer of £29.6 million

Roque, 19, enjoyed a positive start to life at Barcelona as he scored twice in his first five La Liga matches but saw his form as well as minutes drastically dip thereafter, but He fell out of Xavi’s favour and although the Spaniard has been sacked by the Catalans, Roque may be surplus to requirements for Barca as they continue to be under tremendous financial pressure.

However – the reports do go on to say that Barcelona are hoping for a fee of £50 million for the South American star.

Stanley told icfootballnews: ‘Look, Barca signed the player in hope that he could be the next big thing, he certainly has the talent and potential to go on and develop into a world class act, it is just a case of whether he has the mental strength to do that.

‘If Manchester United can get the lad for a real bargain – he would be worth the risk – but spending £50 million is crazy as the club need to add some proven, experienced players to the side that can make an impact.

‘As we said – get Roque for the right price and he would be worth the risk but he has struggled at one of the biggest clubs in the world in a League that is not as good as the Premier League – he could struggle at United.’

UNITED SHOULD SIGN GUIRASSY –

Manchester United have learned that they can land Serhou Guirassy for an absolute bargain this summer window, and reporter Iomie Stanley says the Red Devils should take the risk.

According to German outlet Bild, Arsenal and Manchester United are in the the race for Serhou Guirassy’s signature – as they search for attacking reinforcements – along with AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund, with the publication branding the forward a player ‘in demand’.

Guirassy enjoyed a prolific season in front of goal after joining Stuttgart on a permanent basis 12 months ago, netting 30 times in 30 appearances to help the club finish second in the Bundesliga table behind Xabi Alonso’s undefeated Bayer Leverkusen.

The report claims that Guirassy is likely to move on from Stuttgart ahead of the 2024/25 campaign and the Guinea international is available for a ‘bargain price’ of just €18-20million (£15-17m) this summer.

According to reporter Iomie Stanley – he could have been a brilliant addition to that attack – he told icfootballnews: ‘United are in dire need of a striker – they need to splash the cash.

There has been so many links to big names – but spending £15 million on this man could be a summer bargain – he really is proving himself over in the Bundesliga.

‘He could be a great short term solution to the clubs biggest problem.’

‘Manchester United are worried about the financial fair play rules and that is why they are not signing the players that Erik Ten Hag needs – but it is a shame to see that Guirassy wants to stay put.

The Premier League could have been a brilliant test of his ability and coming to a massive club like the Red Devils could have been the club that would have taken him to that next level.’

AMARABAT WANTS MAN UNITED STAY –

Manchester United Sofyan Amrabat is keen to stay with the club despite the end of his loan spell and does not want to go back to parent club Fiorentina

Right now many of the United players are enjoying a few days off after a tough season in which they really struggled in the Premier League – but managed to shock Man City in the FA Cup and come home with the trophy.

But with the transfer window now open for business – there has been alot of speculation that there will be some big changes for Man United over the next few months as players will come and go.

Amrabat has been a standout performer for the club in winning silverware, but his loan deal ends in a few days and there has not been any talks about extending his stay in Manchester.

However – amid that speculation and rumours –  Amrabat still has hopes of staying, On his future, Amrabat told Ziggo: “Do I already know what I’m going to do next year?

“No. We are going to talk. Staying is certainly an option.”

IcFootballnews View…

Look, if Manchester United wanted to keep Amrabat they surely would have held talks over a deal earlier in the season? He has been decent but not great.

But it will be interesting to see if he does stay at the club that is for sure as he is a player that has the potential to be a big player for the club – if he is used in the right way.

He clearly wants to stay at United and they would be fools to not get a deal done for that £17 million – it is not alot of money to spend in todays transfer market and the Red Devils have have to pau alot more than  that to replace him.

But it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.
