Manchester United ordered to sign world class £258 million trio Sancho, Koulibaly and Niguez
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has called for his former club to splash out on Jadon Sancho, Kalidou Koulibaly and Saul Niguez in order to reach the next level.
United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows that he needs to spend some serious money in order to get this Manchester United side back challenging for titles and playing in the Champions League on a regular basis.
There has been so many big names linked with the club that many fans have seemingly forgotten who the club would actually buy when the transfer window opens up in just a few months time.
The Red Devils had endured a frustrating season under Ferdinand’s former team-mate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer prior to lockdown – although they had shown signs of improvement after the January acquisition of Bruno Fernandes.
And while the Portuguese’s arrival represents a good start, Ferdinand, 41, thinks it’ll take another three big-name signings to get the Red Devils competing for major silverware again.
He told the BBC’s Savage Social podcast: “Sancho, Koulibaly and Saul Niguez.
“I think Harry Kane’s been linked but if I’m pushing for an attacking player I’d still go for Sancho, he gives you that little bit of imagination and I think he gives you that little bit of spice that they haven’t got at the moment.”
Look, Manchester United need to make sure that they sign players that will send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League, and if they managed to secure Koulibaly, Niguez and Sancho this summer, it would be a massive message to their rivals.
However, considering Koulibaly would cost £88 million, Sancho around £100 million and Niguez £70 million, that is alot of money to spend at a time when clubs are struggling financially because of the coronavirus.
But wow, these players would certainly get Manchester United back into the habit of winning, they are simply that good!
