Solskjaer vs Klopp! Man United and Liverpool keen to sign up £63 million superstar James

Reports have claimed Liverpool and Manchester United are eyeing up a deal for James Rodriguez.

Rodriguez is currently on a two-year loan spell at German Champions Bayern Munich after failing to establish himself in the Real Madrid side, but his loan move will be up at the end of the season.

And that has led to speculation that Bayern will have no intention of making the move permanent and will allow him to leave at the end of the season for a return to Madrid, something he is not too keen on according to reports.

That opened the door for Arsenal and Juventus to show a keen interest, with some reports in the media that the Gunners tried to sign the Colombian star during the January transfer window.

But now reports on the Daily Mirror website have claimed that both Liverpool and United are also eyeing up a possible deal, as both seek to add a few more superstars to their squad ahead of next season and the fight with Manchester City.

United are lacking quality in key areas of the pitch and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows he needs to improve if they are to have any chance of challenging for the title, while Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is seeking to push on from this year and take his side to that next level of competition.

However, Bayern are waiting until the very last moment to make a decision on the future of Rodriguez and may decide to hand him a permanent move to the Bundesliga.

Here is what we think.

James is world class and he would certainly improve most sides he joined, so if he does become available it would be interesting to see if he would choose United or Liverpool, as they are both two of the biggest clubs in history.
