Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Bologna star Joshua Zirkzee.
Manchester United really struggled for goals last season and it almost cost Erik Ten Hag his job at Old Trafford – but that stunning FA Cup win kept him in his role as boss of the Red Devils.
Zirkzee scored 12 goals in all competitions last season and provided seven assists and his performances for the Italian giants has led to alot of speculation that a number of clubs are very interested in getting a transfer deal done.
Zirkzee who has a £34million release clause had been targeted by Italian giants AC Milan who were deemed the frontrunners to recruit the 23-year-old.
But it now seems that he will be heading to Manchester United this summer as According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, United will not trigger Zirkzee’s release clause.
Instead, the Red Devils will pay slightly above €40million (£34m) with better payment terms across the next three years. And the striker will sign a contract until June 2029 with an option for a further season.

There has bene so much hype surrounding the young man and he could be a decent signing for the club – but Man United would not be signing a striker that has the ability to score 30 goals a season – not yet.
However – if Manchester United can be patient and are willing to wait until Zirkzee is ready – then paying £34 million is not alot of money for one of the best young strikers in Seria A right now.
He could end up being a real solid addition to that Red Devils side if the reports are true.
UNITED WANTS DANI OLMO –
RB Leipzig playmaker Dani Olmo is considering moving to this summer , which will reportedly put the likes of Manchester United on full alert for the summer
The 25-year-old Spain international is continuing to excel at Red Bull Leipzig and has a clause that becomes active this summer when he can leave for £52million.
Olmo signed a new contract last June which runs until 2027 but the clause means a number of suitors are now assessing whether he could fit into their plans for the summer.
Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham are also among the clubs who continue to keep an eye on Olmo’s progress, particularly with his ability to play on either flank or off the striker.
It is no secret that Manchester United are in need of adding to that squad in the summer – as they failed to make it back into the Champions League and only managed to get back into Europe via that FA Cup win over Man City.
Speaking in his column for CaughtOffside, German journalist Christian Falk recently claimed that Olmo is interested in a move to England: “Olmo is currently looking at England. His release clause would not be a hurdle for the rich Premier League clubs. The hottest lead at the moment leads to Manchester City. Olmo is on the list at the Sheikh Club.”
He later went on to add: “But City has competition: Tottenham also has their eye on Olmo, as do Manchester United and Chelsea. However, both clubs would probably not be a good choice at the moment due to their sporting imbalance.”

There are some big names chasing the young man – he really is a quality player that is just about to come into his prime – it would be a wise decision from Man United to get a deal done.
£51 million is not alot of money to spend on a player these days in football – and considering Manchester United are missing someone like Olmo in that side – there is easily some space for him to shine.
UNITED TO MAKE KADIOGLU MOVE –
Manchester United are set to approach long-time Arsenal target Ferdi Kadioglu about a move to the Premier League.
The Gunners tabled an offer for the Fenerbahce wing-back in June, according to Turkish media, but have been unable to get a transfer deal done for the defender as the Euros 2024 is still happening.
In addition to Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund are also said to have submitted a bid. But now the Mirror have claimed that Manchester United have now shown an interest in getting a deal done for the £35 million star.
Erik Ten Hag knows that Luke Shaw still has his injury issues ahead of the new season and is keen to add some much needed depth to that side of the defence – and Kadioglu is seemingly a player that he feels can add to that United side.
It remains to be seen whether he will be part of Jose Mourinho’s plans for the new season. Fenerbahce sporting director Mario Branco spoke on his club’s stance in the transfer window, stating: “We managed to attract one of the biggest names in world football, the only coach in the world to have won all three European competitions.
“We know what profiles the coach wants. Thanks to our club president, we are in a position to attack the transfer market how Jose Mourinho requires.”
