Madrid boss Zidane has offical transfer message for Manchester about possible £80 million January deal
ZIDANE HAS SHOCK BALE MESSAGE!
Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has a message for the likes of Manchester United about the future of Gareth Bale.
Now Bale has been in the headlines for all the wrong kind of reasons over the past 12 months as all indications suggested that he was finished at the Bernabeu, that fans wanted him out, and most importantly Zidane was keen to offload him in the coming transfer window.
There was even talk in the summer window that a number of clubs were prepared to offer around £60 million to try and get a deal done for Bale, but the Welshman decided that he wanted to stay and fight for his Madrid future, especially since he is getting a nice big wage at the Spanish giants.
But according to reports on Spanish publication AS, Bale has now decided that he wants out of Madrid during the January transfer window and is seeking a move away, with a move back to the Premier League and a lucrative switch to La Liga a possible destination for the tripe Champions League winner.
However, in another twist, Zidane has come out and rubbished those reports and revealed that he actually wants the Welshman to stay, telling the SKY SPORTS WEBSITE: “Everybody is saying I don’t want (Gareth) Bale here and I want him to leave in January. That’s nonsense.
“People can talk about me, about what I do, but nobody can put fake words on my mouth.
“Of course, we cannot have the same bond with everybody but I’ve never had any problem with Gareth, even after what happened during last summer when supposedly he was leaving.
“This is the situation: he’s here, and I’m happy because the player is very good.”
“So yes, I want Gareth to stay here with us until the end of the season. That’s very clear.”
Bale has not had the best time of it during his Madrid stay, and fans have not fallen in love with him like many expected, so it would not be a massive shock to see him depart the club in the January transfer window or at the end of the season.
But if United could manage to secure a deal for him, it would be a fantastic move, despite his age.
