Solskjaer told to forget Sancho and bring £63 million goal-machine to Manchester United
Paul Scholes has urged Manchester United to prioritise signing Erling Haaland over Jadon Sancho.
Manchester United have been heavily linked with a transfer move to try and bring the talented Sancho to the Premier League, although his massive £109 million asking price has so far been a problem.
It is claimed United were hoping to land him for closer to £60m, but sporting director Michael Zorc has told United to ‘stick to the facts’, saying that the winger would not be leaving the club over the transfer window.
Another player that United have been linked with for months now is that of Haaland, who is easily one of the very best strikers in Europe right now and is banging in the goals for Dortmund on a weekly basis.
And although the transfer window is shut, Scholes has urged Manchester United to prioritise signing Erling Haaland over Jadon Sancho in the coming transfer window, He told Stadium Astro: “I think Haaland is sensational.
“I think he’ll be up there with your Ronaldo’s and Messi’s levels from what I’ve seen so far.
“That’s why I just never felt Sancho was the right type of player because we’ve got three of that type of player already.
“To spent £100m or whatever, I didn’t think it was right. I wasn’t that disappointed.”
United need a striker and Haaland could be the man that could bang in 30-goals a season for them, which is what Solskjaer is lacking in his attack.
Sancho is a brilliant little player, but is he really needed at the club?
