Solskjaer told to sign this powerhouse striker after wrapping up Manchester United deal for Sancho

Owen Hargreaves has named Mario Mandzukic as a potential wild card signing for Manchester United after they complete a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.

There has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few days that Manchester United are on the Verge of bringing the exciting Sancho back to the English game, and are just trying to figure out a fee to complete a deal.

Since leaving Manchester City for the Bundesliga, Sancho has gone one to be one of the most creative and exciting players in the game right now, with the Englishman a real source of goals for Dortmund.

And maid all the speculation, former Manchester United midfielder Hargreaves has claimed that a move for Mandzukic could follow for the club when they officially wrap up a deal for Sancho

On Sancho, he told BT Sport: “17 goals, 16 assists, those numbers are outrageous at this level for a player of his young age. He can play off the right, he can play in the hole, he can play off the left.

“He gives them goals, gives them assists and Jadon gives you something really special. He dribbles, plays off the cuff and he’s almost unplayable. I’m all for it. I think he’s just want they need.”

Hargreaves then added: “Maybe you then go and get Mario Mandzukic on a free, a different type of centre-forward.”

At the end of the day Sancho is a top-class player that will bring goals to the side, whether United need him or not is another question, but if they spend all their transfer money on Sancho, how can they afford to buy a top-class striker too?
