Brown opens up sends exciting message to fans about Manchester United arrival of world class defender

Wes Brown has backed the imminent arrival of Real Madrid star Raphael Varane to Manchester United

Varane is one of the most decorated Madrid players in recent times after helping the club win four Champions League trophies, three La Liga titles, three Spanish Super Cups and the Copa del Rey since arriving from Lens back in 2011.

However, he has failed to agree a new contract with the club over the past few months and it has been suggested that a move to United is his preferred choice, with many reports even suggesting that he has already agreed a move to Old Trafford

Ex-United defender Brown is confident the arrival of both Jadon Sancho and Varane would more than satisfy the Old Trafford faithful, with the club desperate to make up ground on champions Manchester City ahead of the new season.

‘I just think over the many years he’s been at Real Madrid, he’s been excellent,’ Brown said.

‘I do think last season he probably wasn’t as good, but the experience he has, he’s a big name in world football, everybody knows what he can do.

‘If he were to come, it’s a new challenge and I think it would be an excellent choice and Ole can then see what works.

‘Bringing him in, you can see where Ole’s looking to go, a high pedigree player.

‘We also have Jadon Sancho, so if it was to happen it would be two brilliant signings for the start of the season, and I think the crowd would love it as well.’
