Manchester United legend Bryan Robson believes his former club should pursue a deal for Lewis Hall after completing the signing of Carlos Baleba.

However, Robson believes Manchester United should not stop their recruitment there.
The former Manchester United captain has urged the club to make a move for Newcastle United left-back Hall, arguing that additional competition in the position will be important with United facing a demanding schedule.
Luke Shaw remains an important option for United, but Robson believes the club need greater depth at left-back, particularly with Champions League football returning to the fixture list.
‘If you stay in the Cup competitions and you’ve got the Champions League, you’ve got a lot of games in the season, and so you more or less always have to have two players who are decent in the same position,’ he told talkSPORT.
‘Luke Shaw is a terrific player, but Hall would be a good addition to our squad.
‘But you never know with his [financial] fair play and everything whether you’ve got the money to buy somebody like him when you’ve just spent £70 million [on Baleba].
‘We’ve spent money before that, so it’s a balancing act in where you think it’s most important.’
For United, Hall would offer both immediate competition and a long-term option in a position where squad depth remains a concern. With Shaw’s fitness record having been a recurring issue and a packed fixture schedule expected, having two dependable options could prove particularly valuable.
