Watch out Chelsea and Bayern as Manchester United looking to sign £40 million rated midfielder
Manchester United reportedly want Denis Zakaria, but face competition from Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the January window.
Despite all the rumours and all the speculation that fans witnessed in the transfer window about players that would be arriving at the club, boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to get the business done that he would have liked.
And that mean that he will be looking to wrap up a few deals in the January transfer window, or the summer window, and Zakaria has been a player that has come onto the shopping list after an impressive last 12 months.
The 23-year-old midfielder currently plays for Borussia Monchengladbach, but is making all the right noises which will earn him a move to a big club in the coming transfer windows, especially if he continues to impress like he has been for the German outfit.
For United, Nemanja Matic will be 32 in the summer and Fred, although liked by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, may leave to make room in the coming windows in order to bring some fresh meat to the club.
And according to the reports on the TalkSport website, it has been claimed that United are ready to rival the likes of Bayern and Chelsea in order to try and sign Zakaria, who would cost around £40 million to acquire.
Speaking to Bild in March, Zakaria said interest in him fires him up: “It spurs me on and gives me strength to improve further.
The fact that other clubs are dealing with me shows that I perform well. But I only concentrate on Borussia. We can achieve great things this season.”
Zakaria is certainly a player that is ready to make that step up in the game, so it will be interesting to see just where he ends up, as a big move will surely happen?
