Manchester United news, Will fans welcome striker? Legend would be shocked to see this star leave United, £50 million hitman sent message after announcement

Guys here is a roundup of the top Manchester United stories from over the past 24 hours that you may have missed.

Paul Merson revealed that he would be shocked to see Odion Ighalo leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

United were desperate to add to their strike-force during the January transfer window and were heavily linked with a number of top-class strikers, but at the end of the window, Solskjaer convinced the United board to bring former Watford star Ighalo back to the Premier League on a loan deal.

The Nigerian striker was brought in primarily as cover for the injured Marcus Rashford and Solskjaer recently said Ighalo could earn himself a permanent contract if he performs for the club he supported as a child, but recent reports claimed that Ighalo has been offered a massive deal to stay at the Chinese club

The striker, who scored four goals in eight appearances since his arrival from Shanghai Shenhua in January, is is reportedly considering his summer options after the massive £400,000-a-week contract offer from Shenua, despite the many reports that United are keen to jeep hold.

Now amid all the speculation, Merson has come out and claimed he would be shocked to see Ighalo leave the club at the end of the current season, he told Sky Sports: “I know he hasn’t played a lot of football but when he’s come off the bench and when he has got some game time, he’s looked class.

“And don’t worry about the new mega money offers in China.

“He’s said all the right things since joining Manchester United. He’s turned around enough times and said he’s dreamed of playing for United so if they do offer him a permanent deal, I can’t see him turning it down.

“Everything’s gone right for him so far and if United do offer him a chance to stay, I’d be shocked if he walked away.”

Wolves legend Steve Bull has praised Raul Jimenez for publicly declaring he is staying at Molineux – despite linked with Manchester United.

After recently becoming the club’s top scorer in Premier League history – netting his 23rd league goal to overtake Steven Fletcher’s 22, interest in a Premier League deal has taken another leap forward, with United hot on the list of possible suitors

Jimenez, 28, has 10 goals and six assists in the Premier League this season for Champions League hopefuls Wolves, and we believe that he could be a good buy for the United, especially after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer failed to sign any strikers during the January transfer window.

**Do you have something to say about your club? Send us an article for discussion!**Dimitar Berbatov has urged Manchester United target Luka Jovic to make a move to the Premier League, but would he be welcome?

After a very impressive season in the Bundesliga last year, Jovic became hot property in the game with some of the biggest clubs in the game all linked with possible moves, but in the end it was Real Madrid who secured a transfer deal for his services.

The Spanish giants paid a massive £54 million for the young hitman as they firmly believed that he could become a superstar in the game, but this season has not been the best in Madrid for Jovic and he has only managed two goals for the Spaniard, leading to rumours he could leave.

And that has led to alot of speculation that he could head to the Premier League, with both Chelsea and United reportedly interested in a deal, and amid all the transfer speculation, Berbatov has urged Jovic to make the move to England: “Luka Jovic is still a really young footballer and he had a great season with Eintracht Frankfurt which earned him a move to Real Madrid, at the moment things aren’t going his way but let’s not forget that he has Karim Benzema ahead of him,” the Bulgarian told Betfair.

“For me, Benzema is one of the most underrated players in football at the moment, he scores so many goals and he often doesn’t get the recognition he deserves.

“It’s difficult for Jovic, because he has to get ahead of the Frenchman, but when Zinedine Zidane gives him another chance I hope he takes it, scores goals and shows what he was doing in Germany, if not he has two choices: be patient and work hard, or go to England or somewhere else he can play.

“Like me, he is from the Balkans and we like life a bit too much at times, so I hope that success and his move to Real Madrid hasn’t gone to his head too much, that can be dangerous and he needs to be disciplined.

“I was in his position when I was at Bayer Lerverkusen, I was the same age and ahead of me was Ulf Kirsten, who was a God at Leverkusen and one of the best German strikers ever.

“I was in that position thinking ‘why the f*** am I not playing, I deserve to play, I demand to play’.

“You think lots of stupid things because you’re young and you think you know everything but with a bit of patience, hard work and good people around you to tell you the truth about the situation, it helps. That’s one option.

“The other, if you want to play immediately, you choose to go on loan or find a club that will buy you so that you play more, if Jovic is in that place right now I can see him being useful to a number of clubs in the Premier League.”

Jovic is a brilliant young striker that made the career move and if United were to make a move to try and bring him to England, he WOULD BE A GREAT SIGNING! Despite his troubles in Madrid this season.
