Manchester United told to splash £85 million and sign brilliant 16-assist star!
Manchester United have been told to splash £85million for Paris Saint-Germain star Xavi Simons, who spent last season on loan at RB Leipzig.
The 21-year-old, after bagging 19 goals and eight assists during a loan at PSV Eindhoven last season, has racked up seven goals and 16 assists during his stint at RB Leipzig this season.
There has been talk that he will head back to parent club PSG at the end of the season to be given a chance in their squad – but that ha snot stopped speculation that a number of Premier League clubs will make a cheeky offer for the talented attacker.
Now – according to Bild, Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich have all put Simons high on their transfer lists.
The Red Devils are determined to continue building a superstar squad so they can go one better than the previous two seasons by lifting the Premier League title, but have been told to pay £85 million if they want to get a transfer deal done.
Amid all the speculation that Man United are interested in a deal for the attacker – Ruud Van Nistelrooy recently sang the praises of the exciting star: “Xavi Simons is in the spotlight, he is not a new discovery, but I think that he will continue to grow to a world-class level.
“I had him at PSV, now he is at Leipzig taking his next steps. I say that he is a player for a great team even as a starter.
“He has character, he is professional, he is focused on getting the most out of his potential.
“And then he has quality, he is very complete, he knows how to do many things well. He can dribble, he scores goals, he is great in transitions, he plays in small spaces. I see him as very complete.”
