Enzo Maresca sends message to Blues star as Chelsea close in on replacement signing!
Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca has warned goalkeeper Robert Sanchez that ‘anything can happen’ while the summer transfer window stays open.
Sanchez was in the media recently after it emerged that CHELSEA were very keen to add a new stopper to that squad at this point in the transfer window, with rumours that Filip Jorgensen was closing in on a move to Stamford Bridge.
Maresca has now decided to respond and fire his own message to Sanchez, 26, who only joined the Blues last year from Brighton: ‘What I can say is Robert did very well tonight and did very well since we started,’ Maresca said after Chelsea’s 2-2 pre-season draw against Wrexham AFC.
‘For sure, the way we want to play, the goalkeeper is very, very important – one of the main positions.
‘And I don’t want to talk about players that are not Chelsea players but I am very happy with Robert.
‘In this moment we have four goalkeepers. (Djordje) Petrovic is still with us but injured. We will see with the timing. When the transfer window is open, anything can happen for us and for the rest.’

CHELSEA spent all that money on Sanchez believing that we would be the answer to the clubs problems – but at the end of the day – he has not been and that is why Enzo Maresca wants a new stopper in the side.
If Jorgensen is the player that the Italian wants at Chelsea – he is a very good goalkeeper that will bring alot to that Blues side – but it will be interesting to see how this all plays out as there is all sorts of rumours in the media.
But it also seems that Sanchez has his answer about where he could be in the pecking order next season.
