Mauricio Pochettino confirms talks with £40M star – suggests he will be Chelsea player this summer

Mauricio Pochettino has dropped a massive hint that Levi Colwill will be part of his plans at Chelsea for the upcoming season.

Colwill had a very impressive season for Brighton last year and is a lad that is heavily tipped to become a top defender over the next few seasons.

New CHELSEA boss Mauricio Pochettino has said he wants to speak to the defender before deciding his future, with alot of clubs already showing an interest should the Argentine boss decide to sell

Now Pochettino has revealed that he had those talks with Colwill and has dropped a massive hint that he will be part of the plans for the upcoming season.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

He told the club website: ‘With Levi, we have talked. A really nice chat. It’s private what we talked about, like with all the players.

‘It’s important they know what we think, that the competition is going to be tough but they can challenge for that and can have the possibility if they deserve to be in the starting XI because football is about competing.

‘They understood our words and we understood what they wanted to translate to us. All is clear and we are so happy with all the players we have here in the USA.

‘Tomorrow we start to compete and that is the reality and truth. They need to speak there on the pitch.’

WILL COLWILL GET HIS CHANCE AT CHELSEA ?

Look – Colwill needs to get his chance at Chelsea – he deserves it for the performances he has been putting in over the past 12 months.

If the Blues decide to let him leave – it will be a massive mistake – he could be the next big thing at Stamford Bridge.
